     The Tipping Point
    Galatians 6:9
We’re already at the tail-end of February
It is already Lenten Season How did we get here? One day at a time
The days pass – no matter what we do or don’t do with them

Did you make New Year’s Resolutions? Are they still in affect?
Will you keep any Lenten commitments you may have made for this special time of the year?

Life was just going on as usual, and then “suddenly” everything changed for me.
“Suddenly” does not happen (it only seems like it)

In the movie “Mask” Jim Carrey is a meek little guy who finds a bewitched mask. When he puts it on, he becomes a different person (dramatically different) who acts – to say the least – much differently than his usual self.

There’s a famous scene – with a famous quote – where once Jim has transformed into his alter ego, who knows he is about to create a lot of mischief. He looks in the mirror and says, “Some-body STOP me!”

Tipping Point: The point at which a slow, reversible change becomes irreversible, often with dramatic consequences.

Tipping Points occur is all parts of our lives.

    TCM. (not a “quick fix”)

In our society, we have slowly abandoned the traditional values that made this nation great, and instead have turned our heads away through intimidation to watch a very different mindset invade and overwhelm our culture.
    A very dangerous tipping point.

At the same time, we are seeing what we call Gen Z college students all across America experiencing a historical revival, worshipping God boldly and seeing lives changed, souls saved and delivered, bodies healed. Miracles.
This amazing revival we are witnessing is indeed, also at a tipping point. Millions of Christians have persevered in prayer for a long time to see this day emerge. A Great Awakening. These prayer warriors and light bearers did not grow weary in doing good.

    “If My people…”
The seeds we plant and continue to nurture, eventually produce a harvest – where what was once reversible seemingly becomes irreversible and our actions are on autopilot and we say, “Some-body STOP me!”

? Is this the Tipping Point for a new season in our world?

What daily choices and decisions are you making that are planting seeds for the future?

? Is this the Tipping Point for a new season in your life?

Acts 3:19 - Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord

    Un-Confronted things do not change

Repentance comes from recognizing the need to turn away – to change
…and then deciding to give it over to God

    • Decisions must be backed-up by ACTION
    • Repentance is proven by new choices

Prov 16:3 (AMP) Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].

This is not a do-it-yourself project

“We all need what we don’t deserve.”

With this being the Lenten season, it is as important to know what to pick up as it is what to put down.

James 1:21: Put out of your life all that is unclean and wrong…
…humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

James 1:23,24 - Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

What do we look like? What should we look like?
We were created in God’s image. We are created – and then we are formed
Col 3:10 - Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

If we know our purpose – if were stay focused on our objective – we can step into what the Bible calls the “unforced rhythms of Grace.”

Paul said he trained like a boxer. He disciplined himself.
1 Cor 9:27: “I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.”

He trained intentionally. (he knew his objective)
“I see the objective. The obstacle must give way.”

With this being the Lenten season, it is as important to know what to pick up as it is what to put down.

Give yourself another chance. God does.

Start by doing small things boldly.

    Boldness is single-minded
A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways

It takes 21 days to create a new habit. Lent is 40 days. (you have a bonus)

Isn’t it worth it? I mean – what is the other option?

Heb 10:39 - Now we are not part of those who shrink back, resulting in destruction, but of those who have faith, resulting in the soul’s salvation.

Drive on. The Tipping Point is coming

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

There will always be naysayers and critics. The critics are ultimately forgotten
Follow after Godly examples of Christian love and overcoming power

    We all need Godly mentors
When Pastor Tommy Carstens ordained me, I was looking forward to years of learning from him and growing from his experiences.
About a month later he had gone on to heaven to his reward.

Most of us are fairly well seasoned at this point in life.

It is time for us to become the role models for those we will leave behind one day.
Paul said, “Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.”
Eph 5:2 - Live a life of love. Love others just as Christ loved us.

Living as the role model does not mean nagging and shaking fingers

It is not in judgmental preaching at someone

It has to start in love – and we have to let Christ’s love flow through us

Our boldness to follow God’s Word and Do God’s Will comes from recognizing that it is He that doeth the work through us.

Keep planting. Keep watering. Keep declaring. Keep Believing

    The Tipping Point is coming

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

“My friends, we are not those who give up hope and so are lost; but we are of the company who live by faith and so are saved.”

If you’re breathing today, you are still in this fight.

God is ready to do something new in your life this very day.

Heb 10:35,36 - “So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.”
