      Remember the Mission

Isaiah 58: 8,9: “Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: ‘Here am I.’”
(page 1209)

Mark 4:26-29: Then Jesus said, “God’s kingdom is like seed thrown on a field by a man who then goes to bed and forgets about it. The seed sprouts and grows—he has no idea how it happens. The earth does it all without his help: first a green stem of grass, then a bud, then the ripened grain. When the grain is fully formed, he reaps—harvest time!
(page 1624)

Phil 1:5,6: I pray with great faith for you, because I'm fully convinced that the One who began this gracious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!
(page 1902)
Psalm 138:8: The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
(page 1022)

    Remember the Mission
    Isaiah 58:8,9
The power of having a goal is not just what you achieve – but who you become in the process of achieving the goal.
    become : begin to be.
Remember the Mission: “Who will you have to become in order to fulfill the mission?”
The true gospel mission - is ongoing – and remains, even after we escape gravity, put on our glorified bodies and move on.
We have not arrived – and we must keep growing. Expanding.
Mark 4: Then Jesus said, “God’s kingdom is like seed thrown on a field by a man who then goes to bed and forgets about it. The seed sprouts and grows—he has no idea how it happens. The earth does it all without his help: first a green stem of grass, then a bud, then the ripened grain. When the grain is fully formed, he reaps—harvest time!
As long as we stay focused, the seed we plant will be nourished and continue to grow
We don’t dig it up – we don’t plow it over
    “Remember the Mission”
In 2024, so many big churches have totally redirected their “mission” into just entertainment – sometimes including controversial, shocking, sensational presentations – in an effort to remain relevant and compete with everything else that might pull people away from Sunday services
Our goal is to serve the Lord according the plans HE has for us.
The Mission GOD has planned (ahead of time) for us to fulfill
    • Being a Bigger Blessing to More People
Global ministry (sharing with more people in more languages)
    Drive-Thru Prayer
Continuing to support our missionary partners
? As a church – is what we are currently doing bringing us closer or moving us further away from the objective of our mission?
    To DO list
    To BE List
    Achieving vs Becoming
If our focus is on Achieving we can somehow hit a target and think we’re done – …instead of focusing on the direction we are heading toward who we want to BE-come
    Today’s Message is Two-Fold:
To Remind us of our Mission
To Remind us that we are able to complete it through God’s Power
    “Praying IS moving forward.”
    Confidence
1 John 5:14,15: “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
We must have confidence that as God guides, He provides.
I am still humbly amazed at some of the doors God has opened for us.
If we walk this out in faith, we can have confidence with every step, knowing that God is growing and developing us as we stay true to the mission He has given us to fulfill.
Phil 1:5,6: I pray with great faith for you, because I'm fully convinced that the One who began this gracious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!
MSG: There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.
The church grows and the mission expands as we grow along with it
    * If YOU feel frustrated by something you feel is missing from your church, maybe it’s because YOU were the one God appointed to add it to the church.
…maybe you are the branch that the Vine will infuse with amazing new life and ability to produce great fruit that you would have never expected?
To add your unique touch to our worship. To the ministry programs. To the way things are moving.
? Possible? Are you willing to be surprised by what GOD can do through you?
? What is stirring in your heart?
If there is a dream that you just can’t let go - it must be meant to BE.
A seed can lay dormant for years, and still bring forth fruit in its season with the right environment
    Isaiah 58:8,9 (read)
What GOD is saying to us in today’s key scripture is that if we pursue God’s heart –
His desires - through our personal and corporate service (as the church) to Him (by loving and serving others) He will open up the skies for us.
“Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: ‘Here am I.’”
    Remember the Mission
Don’t get so distracted by what you believe you can’t do
that you forget what you can do.
We must have confidence that as God guides, He provides.
    Psalm 138:8: The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands.
WE are the work of His hands
Eph 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
“It is God who has worked in us to make us what we are. He has given us a new life because we are united with Christ Jesus. He saved us so that now we can do good things in our lives. Those are good things that he has already prepared for us to do.”
    “Remember the Mission”
To remember the mission means we keep our focus on our “why” (GOD’s “why”)
We keep the main thing the main thing
So often, when people tell you they are too busy to do something you ask, it is really just an admission of what their priorities really are.
“I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will.”
We base every choice on how it connects to the mission. The WHY. The Purpose.
We navigate our lives with the posture of faith
Having Confidence in God (and not our own abilities) changes everything.
Confidence proceeds action (otherwise, doubt will keep us stuck)
Our confidence comes as a result of the Substitutionary Death of Jesus
    (elaborate)
    “Trading My Sorrows”
    The Great Exchange
Smith Wigglesworth - Communion: “An exchange of God’s Life for his.”
Lord, I give You my sin, my shame, my anxiety…
…and I exchange it for your Righteousness, Peace and Joy
Romans 5:1,2: Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us.
Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory!

The Great Exchange also means we trade our in-ability for His ability
“Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.”

He has given us everything we need.
“Remember the Mission” – and also remember that He is able
