     Good Things  2 美物二

Romans 1:17: - This gospel unveils a continual revelation of God’s righteousness—a perfect righteousness given to us when we believe. And it moves us from receiving life through faith, to the power of living by faith. This is what the Scripture means when it says: “We are right with God through life-giving faith!”
    罗马书 1:17-这福音显明了上帝的义,这义始于信,终于信,正如圣经上说:“义人必靠信心而活。” (page 1822)
Matt 25:29: For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
    马太福音 25:29-因为凡有的,还要给他更多,使他丰富有余;
    凡没有的,连他仅有的,也要夺去。(pg 1606)
Prov 11:25: It is possible to give away and become richer! It is also possible to hold on too tightly and lose everything. Yes, the liberal man shall be rich! By watering others, he waters himself.
    箴 言 11:25 - 好 施 舍 的 , 必 得 丰 裕 ; 滋 润 人 的 , 必 得 滋 润 。(page 1049)

Matt 12:35: “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him…”
    马太福音 12:35- 善人心存良善,就从他里面发出良善;恶人心存邪恶,就从他里面发出邪恶。(page 1578)
2 Cor 9:8 (AMP) “And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”
    哥林多后书 9:8:上帝能够将各样的恩典多多赐给你们,使你们在各方面常常富足有余,可以多行各样的善事。 (1879)

    Good Things 2
    Romans 1:16,17
Psalm 86:11,12: Teach me your way, LORD, and I will live by your truth.
Give me an undivided mind to fear your name.
I will praise you with all my heart, Lord my God, and will honor your name forever.

“that I may rely on your faithfulness”
“Unite my divided heart so that I will fear Your great name.”

    Good Things – Week Two
    • Good Things TO
    • Good Things THROUGH

Just like the water hose - We are to be a conduit of God’s blessings

HE is the Vine - We are the branches

    (think about a healthy tree)
The branches produce life-giving (resources) blessings available to all those nearby because of what comes through them from the root

Fruit on the vine is the result of LIFE

When we share God’s Grace with others – Life flows through us – and because of that life flow, the dead leaves fall away and even more new life appears

Romans 1:17: - This gospel unveils a continual revelation of God’s righteousness—a perfect righteousness given to us when we believe. And it moves us from receiving life through faith, to the power of living by faith. This is what the Scripture means when it says: “We are right with God through life-giving faith!”

“The Good News tells us we are made right with God by faith in Him. Then, by faith we live that new life through Him. The Holy Writings say, ‘A man right with God lives by faith.’”

So it is by faith that we are born again, and by walking in that faith, we become the branches that produce fruit for God’s Kingdom.

“He who has will be given more…”
Has more faith – and more understanding of their position in Christ

    “Blessed to BE a Blessing”
My purpose today is to encourage us to stay connected to The VINE – so we can make the most of this time we have here on earth.

    Good Things TO
    Good Things THROUGH
    Welcome to Good Things 2

Prov 16:9: Within your heart you can make plans for your future, but the Lord chooses the steps you take to get there.

Prov 11:25: It is possible to give away and become richer! It is also possible to hold on too tightly and lose everything. Yes, the liberal man shall be rich! By watering others, he waters himself.

The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.

“He who has will be given more…”

    We give abundantly from abundance
Matt 12:35: “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him…”

Psalm 139:14: I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and my soul knows that very well.
“I carry this knowledge deep within my soul.” “I know it with all my heart.”

? Does your soul expect “good things” from God?

    “For the Lord is Good…”

Psalm 103:5: “ … who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

You can live from your past, shaping today and even your future based on past experiences, or decide that being full present is the wisest option.
“The familiar past will sooner or later be predictable future.”

Let your mind be renewed to expect Good Things.
GOD is bringing Good Things… …and it may also be NEW Things

New things TO you… and new things THROUGH you.
I heard someone make reference to a “vow of poverty” and I thought how discouraging that thought would have to be for the people who need help.
If you’ve ever been asked for help by a family member in need and you had to tell them you couldn’t do anything for them, then you understand.
Prov 13:22 - Good people leave an inheritance to their grandchildren, but the sinner’s wealth passes to the godly.

You can’t give from an empty basket. We are to be “blessed to be a blessing.”

Who is able to do that? (God) How? (Grace)
ok – so maybe you feel you’ve been off-track?
“The ability to "Change" is a gift of God's grace. Receive it freely by simply believing.”
Today we need to receive God’s grace to move beyond our current limitations – and press on into a new level of abundance - so we can fulfill what HE has purposed that We should do.
We’re not talking about greed or selfishness…
we’re talking about “Being a Bigger Blessing to More People.”
Is our desire to prosper motivated by a Godly desire to make a bigger difference in the world? Do we have The Kingdom of God on our hearts?
Well, first all, I should ask: “Do you (evev) think God’s Will is that we bless more people?”
1 John 5:14, 15 - We are confident that God listens to us if we ask for anything that has his approval. We know that he listens to our requests. So we know that we already have what we ask him for.
    God blesses Godly (Kingdom) motivation.
Do you pray selfish prayers and wonder why you don’t get your prayers answered?
James 4:3 - And even when you ask, you don't get it because your motives are all wrong--you want only what will give you pleasure.
There’s nothing selfish about wanting to pay your bills, take care of your family, and also to be able to help others.

II Cor 9: “The one who supplies seed for planting and bread for eating will supply and multiply your seed and will increase your crop, which is righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous in every way.”
God commanded Adam & Eve to “be fruitful and multiply”

Don’t bury your talent in the ground.
Don’t withhold the treasure God put inside of you because of fear or false humility.

Prov 3:27 – Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.
You have to start with an abundance mindset. What do you have?
“To him who has, more will be given.”
Recognize that your Jehovah Jireh has already blessed you immensely.
    He is our Source.
We bring new abundance into our lives through gratitude and generosity.
Psalm 84:11: “ …no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

Psalm 34:10: “ …those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.”

Psalm 103:5: “ … who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

    “SEE What GOD Can DO.”

? What would Good Things look like to you? ( )
HOW do you want to be used for the Kingdom of God?

We should be a “conduit” God’s blessing to the world.
A channel whereby our Creator can flow through us and bless others.
Prov 11:25: “A generous man will prosper. He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”
Do you dare take a “vow of abundance”
Will you commit your plans to the Lord so they will succeed? (Prov 16:3)

Deut 8:18: “But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth…”

Prov 10:22: “The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it.”

The Lord wants to speak His commanded blessing over you and your household.

Deut 28:8: The LORD will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you undertake. And he will bless you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.

Prov 16:8: “Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed.”
