Phil 3:13,14: I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.

Acts 20:32: And so now, I entrust you into God’s hands and the message of his grace, which is all that you need to become strong. All of God’s blessings are imparted through the message of his grace, which He provides as the spiritual inheritance given to all of his holy ones.

Ephesians 3:7-12

To those of us who knew the pain - Of valentines that never came
And those whose names were never called - When choosing sides for basketball

I was always the little guy – and back then it actually mattered.

There are situations in your life that may leave you feeling inadequate. But what standard are we measuring ourselves by?

Ben Franklin: Everybody is a Genius. But If You Judge a Fish by Its Ability to Climb a Tree, It Will Live Its Whole Life Believing that It is Stupid.

Do you feel like a square peg in a round hole sometimes? Do you ever wonder where your real place of service is in the Kingdom of God?

The devil will do everything possible to make you feel inadequate – or even unusable.
Probably one of the biggest deceptions is to believe you have missed your moment – or that it’s too late.

Rodney Howard Browne told stories of people who found their true calling in their very last years of life – and did more in five years than most Christians do in a lifetime.

Paul admitted to his own inadequacy –
1 Cor 2: 3-5 – “I came to you in weakness--timid and trembling. And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.”

Whatever BIG thing GOD has for you to do, just KNOW that the only way you will be able to do is through HIS mighty power at work within you.

Eph 3:7 - I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power.

“My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God's power.”

You are called to be a big part in God’s end-time plan –
…but if you want to grow up - you’ve got to show up.
To Begin – You’ve Got to Plug In

Are you hungry for more of God?

Do you believe there is more of God available?

Do you believe God wants to use us as a church in a much greater capacity?

Are you willing to let God work in and through you in order to grow and be used more fully? More powerfully?

In Exodus it says Moses “took the Book of the Covenant and read it aloud to the people. Again they all responded, "We will do everything the LORD has commanded. We will obey."

2 Tim 1:6 – “stir up the gift of God, which is in thee”

To stir up (activate – rekindle) the gifts of God within you is to willingly and deliberately launch yourself out into deeper waters.

It’s more than just playing church.

Some people think if they attend church 65% of the Sunday they have fully discharged their Christian duties.

Church is supposed to be a place for equipping the Body of Christ to go out and DO the work God has placed us here to do.

William Tyndale - "The Church is the one institution that exists for those outside it."

Years ago – “Things that make you go Hmmmmm…”

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ…”

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”

Playing church allows us to stay safe. We sit on the porch and watch the world pass by.
When you commit to truly becoming a follower of Christ and believing what He said is true, you have stepped off the porch and into the yard.
Jesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.”

…and yet, people are offended when the Kingdom of God is made manifest among the believers.

As long as we play it safe and silent, no one will care.

…but when we step out into the deeper waters, we stir things up.

"Don't imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Your enemies will be right in your own household!'”

“If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.”

“Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone…”

To be worthy is to not look back – but to continue in His Word

John 6: “At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him. Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, "Are you also going to leave?"
Simon Peter replied, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.”

Jesus Words are Life and Truth.
The Truth will set us free – but it starts by disrupting the status quo

You can’t change what you won’t confront. The Truth is confrontational.

Churchill – “The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.”

There are those who make it happen – watch it happen – “what happened?”

Which one – starting today – describes YOU? (this is not about your past)

Most of us want to do so much more – yet we so often feel inadequate
- we don’t feel worthy or smart enough or…
…but here we are.

The Power to do God’s Will comes from His Power – not ours.

I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of His Power.

Eph 3:20 - Now all glory to God, Who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

WE are God’s agents of reconciliation –
We are ushering in the Kingdom of God

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done IN Earth as it is in Heaven

In us.

If you let God take control, then YOU are no longer in control

RHB – “You can’t control a hurricane.”

“Many people die with their music still in them. Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it time runs out.”

It is not too late to let your music out – but it is time to start singing.

It’s time to leave the safety of the porch and just go for it.

Dan 11:32 – “ …the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.”

Paul wrote in Romans 1:11 – “I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong…”

Paul wrote to Timothy: “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”

Romans 15:17: You will bring God glory when you accept and welcome one another as partners, just as the Anointed One has fully accepted you and received you as his partner.



You must be born again.

You’re WISE to follow the “should be’s”

You are a FOOL to ignore the “must be’s”

Acts 20:32: “And so now, I entrust you into God’s hands and the message of his grace, which is all that you need to become strong. All of God’s blessings are imparted through the message of his grace, which He provides as the spiritual inheritance given to all of his holy ones.”
