 Receive Your Healing – 3 Steps
Mark 5:25-34


Renewing your mind comes sometimes by reminding and reinforcing
…and sometimes by hearing something totally fresh and new.

The Body of Christ deserves to walk in healing, health and wholeness…
…because Jesus paid the price for us to have it.

Matt 8:17: “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.”

Monday morning at 5 am – the Word came alive in me
Acts 28:8-9 Now it happened that Publius’ father was lying ill with fever and dysentery. Paul visited him and after prayer laid his hands on him and healed him. After that all the other sick people on the island came forward and were cured. (healed)
“Then all the other sick people on the island came and were healed.”

You can’t just read the Bible – you gotta READ the Bible.

I love the “alls” that reflect to us the Heart of God (in His Word)
• “that none should perish” (means “all” should be saved)
• “ALL who believed in Him”
• “Indeed he healed all who were ill. Thus was fulfilled Isaiah’s prophecy—‘He himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses’.”

God’s Word is Life unto our flesh
Jesus said: “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life.”

Jesus spoke to the woman with the issue of blood: “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

“Your faith has made you whole.”

Three factors in receiving (your) healing:
1. Everything we receive from God we receive by faith (believe)
2. It is according to our knowledge of Him
3. Faith comes by hearing

Sadly, mankind, and especially religion, has tried to humanize our all-powerful, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent GOD – Creator and sustainer of the universe.

HE is GOD. HIS WORD is timeless, all-power, unchanging.

There is the word of men - and then there is the Word of GOD.

Isaiah 53 prophesied that this about Jesus:
“He was wounded for our rebellious acts.
He was crushed for our sins.
He was punished so that we could have peace,
and we received healing from his wounds”

The chapter begins with this question: “Who has believed our message?”

1. Romans 12:3 – For I say to every man that is among you, through the grace given unto me, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

as a Child of God – you have the faith you need (for your unique purpose) in order to get started.

2. 2 Peter 1:3 - “According as His Divine Power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue”

“through the knowledge of Him”

What do we know about our New Covenant?
What do we really believe about Jesus?

Jesus is our New Covenant

Everything we can be provided through our New Covenant comes to us “through the knowledge of Him”

3. Faith comes by hearing…

In our gospel story, it says the woman heard about Jesus.
She heard about His miraculous works.
She heard and believed and then said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”

syllogism: A syllogism (Greek: "conclusion, inference") is a kind of logical argument that applies deductive reasoning to arrive at a conclusion based on two or more propositions that are asserted or assumed to be true.

These three truths of scripture form a syllogism that points to keys to receiving our healing and wholeness.

So we should apply this now and see our faith grow into new manifestations of God’s blessings

Acts 2:32 - "God raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witnesses of this.”

Romans 8:11 (read together) “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

Is Christ in YOU?
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

Because of this truth, we should not only be walking in our healing, but we should also be ministering healing to others as well.

(Jesus) Mark 16:17 “These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe…”
vs 18: “They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed."

Peter said to the lame man: “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”

You have to have faith in the finished work of the cross to be this bold in your actions – and you have to know it is Christ in you – and not you.
“Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced.
Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will.
And I know that I will not be put to shame.”
It also takes a knowledge of God’s grace to receive and give healing.

We have to stop trying to earn it. We have to get beyond our “works” mentality

Romans 8:1,2: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”

God is not withholding from you today.

Posture of Faith: Where is the posture? Where is the feeling?
“Because the Sovereign LORD helps me…”

As a Child of God – where is God’s heart toward you and me today?
Romans 8:32 – “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”


Three factors in receiving (your) healing:
1. Everything we receive from God we receive by faith (believe)
2. It is according to our knowledge of Him
3. Faith comes by hearing

If we believe God’s Word is true for us today (?) then we can embrace by faith all of His promises and step out in faith to receive and to give.

Can you apply your faith today for others and for yourself? (in our unique gifts?)

Can we choose to operate as the Body of Christ – here today for ourselves and for each other – and see God work in and through us?

Mark 16:17 “These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe…”
vs 18: “They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed."

WE are HIS people…
“If GOD is a healing GOD - Then WE are the Healed People.”

In our walk of Grace by Faith, it doesn’t so much matter where we’ve been – it matters eternally where we go from here.

When God delivered His People out of Egypt, the Word of God says,
“He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.”

WE are HIS people…
