Psalm 40:1-3: I waited and waited and waited some more, patiently, knowing God would come through for me. Then, at last, he bent down and listened to my cry. He stooped down to lift me out of danger from the desolate pit I was in, out of the muddy mess I had fallen into. Now he’s lifted me up into a firm, secure place and steadied me while I walk along his ascending path. A new song for a new day rises up in me every time I think about how he breaks through for me! Ecstatic praise pours out of my mouth until everyone hears how God has set me free. Many will see his miracles; they’ll stand in awe of God and fall in love with him!
(page 919)
2 Chronicles 20:6 : “LORD, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you.”
历代志下 20:6:我们祖先的上帝耶和华啊,你不是住在天上的上帝吗?你主宰万邦万国,你手中有权柄和能力,无人能抵挡你。(pg 737)
Romans 10:11: No one who believes in Christ will ever be disappointed.
罗马书 10:11: 正如圣经上说:“信靠祂的人必不致蒙羞。” (page 1836)
Isaiah 3:10: Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.
以赛亚书 3:10: 要告诉义人:他们有福了,必得善报。(pg 1117)
2 Timothy 2:13: If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.
提摩太后书 2:13: 我们纵然会失信,祂仍然信实可靠,因为祂不能违背自己。(pg 1930)

Happiness
Psalm
40:1-4
NEVER
underestimate
the
Power
of a
New
Day
Never
look
at
your
routine
as
“routine”
Friday
Morning:
Joseph
Prince:
“The
devil
wants
to
define
you
by
your
failures.”
Isn’t
that
so
true?
If
he
can
succeed
at
that,
he’s
definitely
got
us
beat.
We
lose
hope
if
that
is
the
vision
we
have
of
our
lives
– of
our
legacies.
2
Chronicles
20:6
:
“LORD,
the
God
of
our
ancestors,
are
you
not
the
God
who
is
in
heaven?
You
rule
over
all
the
kingdoms
of
the
nations.
Power
and
might
are
in
your
hand,
and
no
one
can
withstand
you.”
Many
times
when
the
people
faced
a
big
challenge
in
the
Old
Testament,
they
started
their
prayer
by
talking
about
the
greatness
of
God.
In
today’s
Scripture,
King
Jehoshaphat
had
three
armies
surrounding
Judah.
He
gathered
the
people
at
the
city
square
in
Jerusalem
to
seek
God.
He
didn’t
say,
“God,
where
are
You?
We’re
about
to
be
captured.”
He
said,
“Lord,
You
alone
are
God.
You
are
the
ruler
of
the
nations.
You
are
powerful
and
mighty.
No
one
can
stand
against
you.
We
remember
how
you
brought
us
through
war,
through
famine,
through
disease.
Now
we’re
asking
you,
O
great
God,
to
deliver
us
from
these
mighty
armies.”
When
you
remind
yourself
of
who
you’re
dealing
with,
you
won’t
pray
weak
prayers.
You’ll
pray
boldly.
You’ll
ask
God
to
do
the
impossible,
what
seems
unlikely.
Those
are
prayers
that
get
God’s
attention.
The
people
of
Judah
didn’t
even
have
to
fight.
The
enemy
armies
turned
on
each
other
and
defeated
themselves.
Faith-filled
prayers
will
see
a
faithful
response.
Maybe
you’re
in a
struggle
–
maybe
even
a
time
of
discouragement
or
even
disappointment.
Our
faith
can
be
tainted
during
such
times
if
we
do
not
redirect
our
attention
and
focus
to
the
One
Who
is
Able.
TL
Osborn:
It
is
impossible
to
boldly
claim
by
faith
a
blessing
which
we
are
not
sure
God
offers,
because
the
blessings
of
God
can
be
claimed
only
where
the
will
of
God
is
known,
trusted,
and
acted
upon.
Psalm
40:3:
A
new
song
for
a
new
day
rises
up
in
me
every
time
I
think
about
how
he
breaks
through
for
me!
Ecstatic
praise
pours
out
of
my
mouth
until
everyone
hears
how
God
has
set
me
free.
My
purpose
for
this
message
today
is
to
instill
in
all
of
us a
new
found
level
of
happiness
– of
positive,
faith-filled
expectation
in
our
God
Who
still
does
wonders
–
miracles.
“A
new
song
for
a
new
day
rises
up
in
me”
There
is a
happiness
(I’ve
found)
that
comes
with
the
expectation
of
an
experience.
Sometimes,
it
can
be
even
better
than
the
actual
event
I
recently
went
to
see
a
movie
with
a
friend
of
mine.
I
was
really
excited
about
seeing
it.
After
the
movie
was
over
my
friend
asked
me
what
I
thought
about
it.
I
said,
“It
was
ok,
but
it
wasn’t
what
I
was
expecting.
I
was
kinda
disappointed,
It
didn’t
exactly
blow
me
away.”
The
Bible
says
(in
a
number
of
places)
that
those
who
trust
in
God
will
not
be
disappointed.
Romans
10:11:
"No
one
who
believes
in
Christ
will
ever
be
disappointed".
Deuteronomy
31:8:
The
LORD
himself
goes
before
you
and
will
be
with
you;
he
will
never
leave
you
nor
forsake
you.
Do
not
be
afraid;
do
not
be
discouraged.
Romans
5:5:
"And
hope
does
not
disappoint,
because
the
love
of
God
has
been
poured
out
within
our
hearts
through
the
Holy
Spirit
who
was
given
to
us".
I
can
already
hear
some
of
your
hearts
saying,
“yeah,
but…”
Don’t
you
know
that
doubt
disables
your
faith?
Let
me
speak
to
that
doubt
in
you.
Isaiah
3:10:
Tell
the
righteous
it
will
be
well
with
them,
for
they
will
enjoy
the
fruit
of
their
deeds.
Our
doubt
comes
when
we
look
away
from
God’s
promises
and
look
instead
at
the
circumstances
or
disappointments.
Look
up.
Renew
your
hope
and
renew
your
strength
today.
1
Sam
2:2:
“There
is
none
holy
like
the
LORD:
for
there
is
none
besides
you;
there
is
no
rock
like
our
God.”
“A
new
song
for
a
new
day
rises
up
in
me”
I
saw
a
post
on
Instagram
the
other
that
that
said
“The
point
of
no
return”
I
instantly
thought,
“what
about
the
point
of
‘know’
return?”
Do
you
know
what
you
say
you
believe
is
true?
We
return
our
thoughts
–
reawaken
our
faith
– by
knowing
God’s
Word
and
His
promises
and
returning
to
believing
and
knowing
that
He
is
able.
Eph
3:20:
We
praise
God,
who
causes
his
power
to
work
in
us.
In
that
way,
he
is
able
to
do
much
more
than
we
could
ever
ask
for.
He
can
do
much
more
than
we
could
even
think
about.
The
Point
of
KNOW
Return
“Those
who
do
Know
their
God”
“Don’t
worry,
be
happy”
Tony
Robbins
says
“happiness
comes
as a
result
of
feeling
you
are
making
progress”
?
Can
you
be
happy
trusting
that
God
will
finish
what
He
started?
…That
He
is
working
in
and
through
you?
That
He
can
do
more
than
you
can
imagine
–
even
in
your
own
life
and
spiritual
growth?
Don’t
judge
the
mighty
oak
tree
by
the
acorn.
?
Isn’t
that
what
faith
is
all
about?
Trusting
that
the
yet
unseen
will
come
in
due
season?
Heb
11:1:
This
is
what
it
means
to
trust
God:
We
will
be
sure
about
the
things
that
we
hope
for.
We
will
be
sure
in
our
minds
about
things
that
we
cannot
even
see.
Trust
in
the
love
God
has
for
you.
Trust
in
His
promises.
2
Timothy
2:13
"If
we
are
faithless,
he
remains
faithful,
for
he
cannot
deny
himself".
This
verse
is
addressed
to
believers
and
conveys
the
idea
that
God
will
continue
to
hold
believers,
even
if
they
fail.
It
also
suggests
that
God's
faithfulness
to
his
people
is
consistent
throughout
the
Bible,
as
he
kept
his
promises
to
Israel
in
the
Old
Testament,
even
though
they
often
rejected
him.
We
have
a
hope
based
on
the
faithfulness
of
God.
“A
new
song
for
a
new
day
rises
up
in
me”
It
is
time
to
sing
a
new
song
This
message
should
be a
source
of
New
Hope
for
those
who
are
beating
themselves
up
today.
?
Maybe
you
feel
you
have
dropped
the
ball
(or
missed
that
field
goal?)
God
wants
to
be
the
lifter
up
of
your
head
today
2
Tim
2:13
says
God
“never
wavers
in
his
faithfulness
to
us!”
God’s
mercies
are
new
every
morning
(Lam
3:23)
No
Condemnation
Get
up
and
get
back
in
this
game
You
are
loved
–
and
you
are
needed
in
the
Kingdom
Where
is
your
awareness
at
this
moment?
You
can
live
from
your
past,
shaping
today
and
even
your
future
based
on
past
experiences,
or
you
can
decide
that
being
fully
present
is
the
wisest
option.
Don’t
let
“The
familiar
past
will
sooner
or
later
be
predictable
future.”
Psalm
103:5:
says
GOD
“
…satisfies
your
desires
with
good
things
so
that
your
youth
is
renewed
like
the
eagle’s.”
In
order
to
have
faith
for
these
good
things,
you
have
to
be
present
in
this
moment.
This
day.
You
have
to
determine
that
this
is
the
only
day
you
have.
It’s
a
choice
to
live
from
this
moment
forward.
2
Thess
2:16,17:
Now
may
the
Lord
Jesus
Christ
and
our
Father
God,
who
loved
us
and
in
his
wonderful
grace
gave
us
eternal
comfort
and
a
beautiful
hope
that
cannot
fail,
encourage
your
hearts
and
inspire
you
with
strength
to
always
do
and
speak
what
is
good
and
beautiful
in
his
eyes.
Isaiah
41:10:
Don’t
be
afraid,
for
I am
with
you;
don’t
be
distressed,
for
I am
your
God.
I
give
you
strength,
I
give
you
help,
I
support
you
with
my
victorious
right
hand.
