Phil 2:12,13: My beloved ones, just like you’ve always listened to everything I’ve taught you in the past, I’m asking you now to keep following my instructions as though I were right there with you. Now you must continue to make this new life fully manifested as you live in the holy awe of God—which brings you trembling into his presence. God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases him.
(page 1904)
Rev 5:9: And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.”
(page 1994)

Romans 8:34: Who is it that condemns? Who can say that God’s people are guilty? No one! Christ Jesus died for us, but that is not all. He was also raised from death. And now he is at God’s right side, speaking to him for us.
(page 1833)
Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(page 1830)
Romans 6:14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
(page 1829)

    ALWAYS
    Phil 2:12,13
Rev 5:9: And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.”
Thank God for another new day. It is a gift we can receive and a gift we can, by God’s grace, maximize for the good of everyone, including ourselves.
I received an invitation that included a phone number at the bottom, with the words “Regrets Only” underneath it. So I called it and left a message saying, “I regret I didn’t study harder in school.”
Everyone makes mistakes, and we all have our own regrets about actions and decisions we have made.
When someone graduates, they often attend a ceremony called “commencement.”
    a beginning or start.
    - this ceremony signifies you're starting your career and the next phase of your life.
It is not the end – it is only the beginning.
Jesus said (John 3:3) “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
“I am telling you the truth: no one can see the Kingdom of God without being born again.”
Our born again moment is our Commencement.
    a beginning or start.
Through Jesus’ blood, we are justified by faith. Made righteous.
    This is the beginning.
To make the necessary progress in our born again life, we have to get beyond condemnation and embrace the total grace that Jesus provides for us.
Romans 8:34 asks, “Who is it that condemns?”
“Who can say that God’s people are guilty? No one! Christ Jesus died for us, but that is not all. He was also raised from death. And now he is at God’s right side, speaking to him for us.”
This tell us two things: 1) There are condemning voices we can listen to, but 2) it is not the voice of our savior Jesus.
In our Christian life, we are both a finished work and also a work in progress.
How can we possibly change with His Grace working in and through us?
We have to start by running to Jesus just the way we are.
One early morning last week I was beginning my pratyer time, and pondering this very thing.
As I raised my voice to the Throne of Grace, these words came out,
“You are the Savior. I am the saved.”
Heb 2:3: how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?
“then how would we expect to escape punishment if we despise the very truths that give us life?”
As born-again Christians, our key to victory, to overcoming, is in always (always) referring back to the fundamental of our faith –
that we are saved by grace, Jesus is our savior, and we, but faith in His finished work, are the saved.
We are saved from, we are saved for, and we are saved unto
We must always (always) reflect on these eternal truths.

    Saved From our sin
Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Salvation is the deliverance from sin and its consequences through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Bible teaches that salvation is a gift from God, and that people can be saved by: Turning away from sin, Asking for forgiveness, Trusting that Jesus Christ died for their sins and rose again, and Repenting and being baptized.
Salvation is also known as deliverance or redemption. Orthodox: Healing
Past: Being saved from the penalty of sin
Present: Being saved from the power of sin
Romans 6:14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Charles Wesley hymn: He breaks the power of canceled sin, He sets the prisoner free; His blood can make the foulest clean; His blood availed for me.
we are saved from sin, and we are
    Saved For our God-given destiny
YOU have a God-given purpose to pursue and a destiny to fulfill.

another way to say it is that you and I have been
    Saved Unto Good Works

Ephesians 2:8–10 says that people are created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand.
The fact is that God’s work with us doesn’t stop with our salvation. It starts.

That is only the beginning. (Commencement)

He has a purpose for you on this earth — good works that He has prepared beforehand that we should walk in them, or as one translation puts it, that they should be the employment of our lives.

You are not on earth at this time in history by accident.

God planned for you to be here, and He has a pre-ordained purpose for your life even with all that’s going on in the world.

You have a destiny to fulfill and a purpose to pursue.

We must always (always) reflect on these eternal truths.
He is the Savior – we are the Saved
We come to Him just as we are, so that He can mold us and make us into who we were meant to be.
We cannot do it in our own power – but we yield to the Savior.
“He is working in and through us…”
Sometimes – especially driving at night time on the interstate – we can hit a pothole or object in the road and it really messes things up.
Our tires may have previously been in alignment, but suddenly we are totally out of alignment.
    We need a re-alignment.
Without this realignment, our pathway, our trajectory, will not be straight.
Of course you can see how this applies to our spiritual lives as well.
    We get out of alignment.
    “a bump in the road”
God’s grace allows us to become realigned, which in turn allows us to get back to the work He’s called us to do.
We must always (always) run back to God’s love and restoring grace.
We come to God just as we are.
    Only He can rescue us.
    Always remember that.
2 Tim 1:9: “He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time”
    Saved From. Saved Unto
He is the Savior . We are the Saved

if you want God’s promises to be sure in your life, you cannot depend on yourself. If you depend on yourself—your obedience, goodness, service and even faith—you will not be able to receive God’s promises.
When you depend on God’s grace—His unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor toward you—that is when His promises become sure in your life.
God wants you to see His grace. And when you see His grace, He sees your faith.
In our Christian life, we are both a finished work and also a work in progress.

We are Saved through Grace by Faith
We must always (always) reflect on this eternal truth.
