      BELIEVE 相信

Romans 1:16,17: I refuse to be ashamed of the wonderful message of God’s liberating power unleashed in us through Christ! For I am thrilled to preach that everyone who believes is saved—the Jew first, and then people everywhere! This gospel unveils a continual revelation of God’s righteousness—a perfect righteousness given to us when we believe. And it moves us from receiving life through faith, to the power of living by faith. This is what the Scripture means when it says: “We are right with God through life-giving faith!”
(page 1822)

Mark 6:5,6: And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief.
    馬 可 福 音 6:5,6: 在家乡,耶稣除了把手放在一些病人身上治愈他们外,没能行其它奇迹。 乡亲们没有信仰,让耶稣很吃惊,然后耶稣便到当地的其它村庄去传教。(page 1627)
1 Tim 1:15,16: I can testify that the Word is true and deserves to be received by all, for Jesus Christ came into the world to bring sinners back to life—even me, the worst sinner of all! Yet I was captured by grace, so that Jesus Christ could display through me the outpouring of his Spirit as a pattern to be seen for all those who would believe in him for eternal life.
(page 1922)
John 11:40: Jesus looked at her and said, “Didn’t I tell you that if you will believe in me, you will see God unveil his power?
    約 翰 福 音 11:40: 耶稣对她说∶“我不是告诉过你了吗?只要你相信,就可以看到上帝的荣耀。” (page 1741)

    Believe in Him
    Romans 1:16,17
Tony Robbins (childhood story) you know we were really poor and I worked hard and I had to go to the store get the groceries on my bike bring it make the meal put it down I finally sit down to eat and my mom or dad would say, “get me the salt,” and I'm starving I'm just starting to eat, so I go, “I don't know where the salt is.”
I was not lying. I didn't know the exact GPS location of the salt.
They said, “You know, the salt! Get the salt!”
I was like, “I know what it is!” “get the salt”
“I know!” “Go get the salt!”
I get up and I am saying (to myself) “I don't know where the salt is. I don't know where the salt is!” and I open the cupboard.
“it's on the second shelf” they scream
“I don't know where the salt is.”
    I look. I go, “it's not here!”
They said, “it's on the second shelf” I'm going salt is
I am looking, “it's not there!”
My dad walks right beside me, reaches right in front of my face and goes, “What is this?”
well, I was telling myself a story, over and over again. “I don't know where the salt is” and so my eyes saw the salt but my brain didn't perceive it.
it created what is known in Psychology as what's called a “scotoma”
A scotoma is a medical term for a blind spot or visual field abnormality. The word comes from the Greek word for darkness.scotoma: a blind spot where literally you can't see the answer.

? How many of you have ever been with someone and they want your help and you're trying to help them show them how to do something and they don't even see it because they have a story.
Where did that limiting, disabling story come from? Who fed them that story?
Jesus said, “For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes— so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.” (Matt 13:15)
? Is there a story that is keeping your from walking in the blessings of a New Covenant that Jesus paid the ultimate price for you to walk in today?
Mark 6:5,6: And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief.
There is a story that is directing the course of your thinking, your choices an d your belief or unbelief.
The Gospel Story is the greatest story ever told.
Does it burn in your hearts to share this Good News (about Good Things) with others?
Psalm 39: 3,4: My heart burned with a fire within me, and my thoughts eventually boiled over until they finally came rolling out of my mouth:
“Lord, help me to know how fleeting my time on earth is. Help me to know how limited is my life and that I’m only here but for a moment more.
Our belief has to accept our forgiveness through Jesus’ finished work.
To claim and receive the victory of the cross in our lives.
    If thou canst believe…
(a great man of God teaches) “Right living is a result of right believing.”
“Did you know that the Bible tells us why believers lack qualities of right living like self-control, perseverance, and brotherly kindness?

It says in 2 Peter 1, “For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.”
But if anyone lacks these things, he is blind, constantly closing his eyes to the mysteries of our faith, and forgetting his innocence—for his past sins have been washed away.
Wow! This verse is essentially telling us that the reason someone does not manifest these qualities of right living is that he has forgotten that all his sins have been forgiven and that he is righteous by faith in Jesus. It isn’t something he believes and is conscious of, and it affects his behavior.”
“Right living is a result of right believing.”
“Let the Redeemed of the Lord SAY SO!”
Our faith is not a passive thing. We are not called to just sit back and ”waller”
When Paul & Silaswere in shackles – in prison… what did he do?
Did they just say, “Well, I guess this must be God’s will?” Noperz.
They began to praise God – and the prison doors opened!
Acts 16:25-31: About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”
The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.

Do you truly believe what you believe you believe?
Do your words and actions line up with your perceived beliefs?
    “I believe, therefore I speak”
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue”
What are you believing – what are you speaking? (Affirmation of Faith)
Romans 10:10: For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
Abraham (the man of faith) “He believed the LORD (Who called things that be not as though they were,) and he (God) counted it to him as righteousness.”
What are you believing – what are you speaking?
Romans 1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Romans 1:16: "I refuse to be ashamed of sharing the wonderful message of God's liberating power unleashed in us through Christ! For I am thrilled to preach that everyone who believes is saved—the Jew first, and then people everywhere!"
Our wristbands (do you have one?) reflect the Biblical command to think on Good Things
If we think on Good Things we then believe for Good Things – and therefore speak of Good Things
“I will live and not die…”
Sometimes we have to speak that from the dry, barren places – looking for the fresh rain to come
Psalm 34:6: I was weak and helpless, so I called out to the LORD. The LORD heard me. He saved me from all my troubles.
You can still Believe for better days “Right living is a result of right believing.”

Are you able to hear and believe and receive the Word of God today – or is it being filtered through your old story - a story that was written in your heart through possibly well-meaning but misinformed teachings, or through some traumatic life experiences?

Jesus: “the eyes of their hearts are closed” (Closed eyes cannot see)

No matter where you are in your life today…
That “same Spirit that rose Christ from the dead…”
Hebrews 10:23: Let us hold fast the confession of faith (our hope) without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

That verse means (in laymen’s terms) “Don’t Stop Believin’”
Your profession of faith is your verbal agreement with God’s Word - His Promises – Your New Covenant standing.
    “I believe, therefore I speak”
John 11:40: Jesus looked at her and said, “Didn’t I tell you that if you will believe in me, you will see God unveil his power?

The Gospel Story is the greatest story ever told.

? Does it burn in your hearts to share this uncompromised Good News (about Good Things) with others?
Psalm 39: 3,4: My heart burned with a fire within me, and my thoughts eventually boiled over until they finally came rolling out of my mouth: “Lord, help me to know how fleeting my time on earth is. Help me to know how limited is my life and that I’m only here but for a moment more.
“Let us work while it is yet day…”
