   Have You Seen the LIGHT?  你见过真光吗？

Luke 1:78,79 - Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.
路加福音 1:78,79: 由于上帝的怜悯，清晨的曙光必从高天普照我们，照亮那些生活在黑暗中和死亡阴影下的人，带领我们走平安的道路。(page 1657)

John 12:32 “… when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”
約 翰 福 音 12:32: 当我从地上被举起时，会把所有的人都吸引在我的身边。 (page 1744)
John 1:4,5: In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
約 翰 福 音 1:4,5: 他蕴含着生命，这生命给人类带来了光明。 光明在黑暗中闪耀，但是黑暗无法战胜光明。(pg 1716)

James 4:8: Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
雅各书 4:8: 你们应当亲近 神， 神就亲近你们。(page 1962)
John 12:36: “Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.”
约翰福音 12:36 - 你们趁着有光，要信从这光，使你们成为光明之子。 (page 1744)

The Light
Luke 1:78-79
Christmas and Easter are the two biggest seasons for the Christian church.

Advent and Resurrection Sunday.

Very different, yet both are bringing forth the same Message of Hope, Light, Life and Salvation.
Christ was born for mankind. Christ died for mankind.
Christ rose again for all mankind.

The beautiful Truth of Jesus in the manger is because of the ugly truth of sin.
Sin separates us from God. It puts us in darkness.

Jesus came to bridge the gap.

John 1:32 “… when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

(This was Jesus giving us a revelation of how He would hand from a cross to pay for our sins)

Jesus came to earth and told us exactly Who He was and what He came to accomplish. All prophecies were fulfilled in the completed work of the cross.
We have been redeemed.

John 1:4,5 “In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Jesus was lifted up to draw us to Him. To the Light.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.”

John 12:36 – “Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.”

“Knowledge is Power” “A lack of knowledge is the lack of power”

Where the Light of Christ does not shine, there is great darkness
(just watch the news)

to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
and to guide us to the path of peace.”
The period right before the birth of Christ was a very dark time, indeed.

For hundreds of years God’s chosen few prayed and wept and watched for the coming of the Messiah.

“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.”

“The splendor-light of heaven’s glorious sunrise is about to break upon us in holy visitation, all because the merciful heart of our God is so very tender. The word from heaven will come to us with dazzling light to shine upon those who live in darkness, near death’s dark shadow. And he will illuminate the path that leads to the way of peace.”

It was God’s Love for us that brought Jesus to us.

"Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

Isaiah 60:19 – “The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.”

“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

The further you go from the light, the darker things get. This is why the world is changing for the worse.

Eph 5:12 – “It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret.”

These are perilous times. The media calls evil good and good evil.

John 3:19 – “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.”

As the Body of Christ, we need to keep our lamps burning bright.
Jesus said, “As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.”

If you draw near to God, you are drawing near to Light and Life.

Jesus is the door to the Light and Life of God – living in and through you.

No more death – no more darkness.

“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.”

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you have been given His light – and His resurrection power. Overcoming power.

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things…
…For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.”

The closer you get to the Light, the brighter your life becomes.

The Word says He calls us out of darkness – and into His marvelous Light.

When we stumble, we have a solution – run back to the Light.

Michah 7:8 – “Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.”

The prophets spoke of a Light to come… but we sing “Joy to the World, the Lord is Come!”

There is no more waiting and weeping –
- our Savior has come – He has redeemed us by His blood.
-
He calls us out of darkness – and into His marvelous Light.

“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.”

Have you seen the Light?
“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.”

Jesus said: "I Am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of Life."
