              <text>Beijing Diaries – Part Two&#13;
1 John 4:16&#13;
I returned from China 9 days ago. It has taken me a while to regain my energy and feel like myself again. …In fact, it has been very challenging.&#13;
I have been on this planet many decades now, but I feel like I am just getting started on what I want to achieve - what I feel God has in store for me to do.&#13;
Col 1:28-29: Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of truth. It has become my inspiration and passion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity, with his power flowing through me, to present to every believer the revelation of being his perfect one in Jesus Christ.&#13;
If you don’t feel that way, too, I am hoping something will stir in you even as we share in God’s Word together today.&#13;
My purpose form this message today is to convince us of two things:&#13;
1. God Loves Us. (more than we can comprehend)&#13;
2. We can trust God because we know He loves us. We can come to Him and ask for help in completing our Divine Mission – living out our true purpose in life.&#13;
Early last week as I studied and searched and meditated on God’s Word, these words from 1 John 4 really spoke to me:&#13;
“We have known and believed the love of Jesus Christ”&#13;
1 John 4:16: So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.&#13;
This resonated with me, and reinforced the resounding message that I shared and received so often while in Beijing with my precious friends there: (5 words)&#13;
“God loves you so much”&#13;
That was the message I brought to China, and that was the same message my Chinese friends brought to me.&#13;
I think we all really needed to hear it. …often.&#13;
&#13;
John 13:35: By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.&#13;
&#13;
I really want to have the strength, power and resources to deliver that simple, life-changing message to more people – and to see that message change lives here and in China.&#13;
&#13;
I believe God will empower us to handle this mission – and to have the vitality and resources to fulfill the work of faith that we have been commissioned to complete.&#13;
&#13;
When we know what we are called to do, we should be able to pray confident, faith-filled prayers and make our petitions to God that He would indeed supply all we need to complete the mission we have to fulfill.&#13;
&#13;
2 Thessalonians 1:11: With this in view, we constantly pray for you, that our God will count you worthy of your calling [to faith] and with [His] power fulfill every desire for goodness, and complete [your] every work of faith…&#13;
&#13;
With this in mind, we constantly pray that our God will empower you to live worthy of all that he has invited you to experience. And we pray that by his power all the pleasures of goodness and all works inspired by faith would fill you completely. By doing this the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you will be glorified in him, by the marvelous grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.&#13;
&#13;
“We also pray that God will work powerfully in you. Then you will be able to do every good thing that you want to do. You will do the things that you want to do because you trust God.”&#13;
&#13;
You trust God? What about Him are you trusting in?&#13;
We pray Jesus’ words, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”&#13;
TPT: Manifest your kingdom realm, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is in heaven.&#13;
If you embrace the scriptures I shared with you earlier, you can see how they agree with the prayer Jesus taught us to pray.&#13;
The great works God has called us to do&#13;
must begin with a greater revelation of His Love for us.&#13;
“God loves you so much”&#13;
I brought this message of God’s love to China – and my Chinese friends brought this same message to me, too. I really needed to learn it on a deeper level.&#13;
1 John 4:16: “We have come to know and believe the love God has for us. God is love. If you live in love, you live by the help of God and God lives in you.”&#13;
The Isaiah 53 prophecy (which was repeated and validated in Matt 8) is such a great example of the love Jesus showed to us.&#13;
Isaiah 53:5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by his stripes we are healed.&#13;
Look at this in the Amplified Bible. "He was wounded for our transgressions. He was crushed".&#13;
By the way, crushed is the correct word, not bruised.&#13;
He was crushed for our wickedness. Jesus was crushed for our wickedness.&#13;
&#13;
Now watch this: "The punishment (required) for our well-being fell on Him, and by his stripes we are healed".&#13;
The punishment required, in the Hebrew, the well-being is the word "shalom".&#13;
The chastisement of our peace was upon him.&#13;
The punishment with a view to your well-being.&#13;
“Jesus wasn’t murdered” – He chose to endure the cross for you. For me.&#13;
“God loves you so much”&#13;
Jesus paid it all.&#13;
Look unto Jesus – look to His finished work.&#13;
Holy Communion is such a great opportunity for us to do this&#13;
The nails - the lashes – we recognize His love for us and open our hearts to His love&#13;
The bronze serpent - Look to Jesus’ finished work and receive your healing&#13;
The New Covenant&#13;
“God loves you so much”&#13;
Not because of our works&#13;
Eph 2:8,9: For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.&#13;
“I don’t feel married”&#13;
JOHN PIPER: God is God. My feelings do not define truth. God's Word defines truth.&#13;
&#13;
While we were yet sinners&#13;
“Because He lives … all fear is gone!”&#13;
2 Tim 2:13: If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.&#13;
THIS is the GOD we are trusting in.&#13;
&#13;
With this TRUST in the Love of GOD, we are empowered to REST&#13;
(by God’s Grace through Faith)&#13;
We no longer walk in fear of not doing everything “just right”&#13;
(did I pray loud enough? did I make a mistake today?)&#13;
&#13;
So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.&#13;
&#13;
So we can, through Christ, break the power of the things that are hindering us from fulfilling God’s Purposes for our lives.&#13;
&#13;
We call forth the Resources – Restoration – Healing – Renewed Strength – the deliverance – the wisdom&#13;
&#13;
Maybe you’ve been trying to do things on your own for so long you wonder if it’s even possible to live this other way – to rely on God’s strength and power?&#13;
God knows where you’ve been – and He also knows what He could do in and through you if you will give Him back control of your life.&#13;
He knows how to heal and restore your life.&#13;
You need the life of God working in and through you – because that is God’s will for your life.&#13;
He wants to raise you up to a whole new level of wholeness and victory.&#13;
&#13;
Col 1: 23: Never be shaken from the hope of the gospel you have believed in.&#13;
&#13;
Because God loves us, this perfect love can cast out all fear from our lives as we put our full trust in Him and His plan for our lives.&#13;
&#13;
“We have experienced and we have entrusted our lives to the love of God in us. God is love. “&#13;
&#13;
Eph 3:19: …and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.&#13;
&#13;
God called you out of darkness. He loves you – and He has accepted you.</text>

Psalm 102:12,13&#13;

…(and now) my life has changed in oh so many ways&#13;
My independence seems to vanish in the haze…”&#13;
Sometimes (most times?) life doesn’t always turn out the way you planned&#13;
• Sometimes there are unexpected challenges&#13;
Sometimes there are unexpected surprises&#13;
Both of these can teach us a lot if we are willing to be teachable&#13;
“What kind of fool am I?”&#13;
When you find yourself on the other side of the world, essentially all alone, isolated from the comfort of your own language, shut out from social media, and blocked from accessing any money or even credit, you have to stop and ask yourself this question&#13;
Despite all my best efforts and plans, this was exactly where I found myself in Beijing China. I lived almost two weeks with just one dollar in my wallet.&#13;
I won’t bother with the details (for now) but this was a real, and very distressing situation that I actually found myself in.&#13;
When all transactions are handled through the apps on your cellphone and yours won’t work, you are in big trouble.&#13;
Thankfully, my hotel accepted my credit card or I would have been literally homeless and out on the street on top of everything else.&#13;
If this sounds like fun, add to that the fact that I do not speak proper Mandarin and my translator would not work, and you have a real party on your hands.&#13;
PSALMS 102: From Tears to Praise&#13;
A prayer for those who are overwhelmed and for all the discouraged who come to pour out their hearts before the Lord&#13;
Psalm 102:12,13: But then I remember that you, O Lord, still sit enthroned as King over all! The fame of your name will be revealed to every generation. I know you are about to arise and show your tender love to Zion. Now is the time, Lord, for your compassion and mercy to be poured out— the appointed time has come for your prophetic promises to be fulfilled!&#13;
Ok – so let’s backup for moment and reflect on how all this got started…&#13;
Most of you know the excitement I have had about this supposedly well-planned journey to China.&#13;
We have shared this progressive journey since the start, when I first announced my intention to visit China.&#13;
You joined me in my enthusiasm, you shared the vision for what was to be accomplished with God’s help, you lifted me up in prayer, and you planted very generous seeds into the costs for this to happen.&#13;
Our sister church overseas was doing the same things for this from their side of the planet.&#13;
Not long after leaving the safety on an international airport, and despite ATT’s assurance that all would be fine, I soon found myself powerless to communicate or take care of my basic needs&#13;
Like so many times, the priceless lessons we learn come from “face time”&#13;
The hardest moments occurred when my attention had been diverted to the circumstances, instead of my all-sufficient source Jesus said (Matt 6:8) “Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”&#13;
My focus would need to promptly redirect to:&#13;
• God’s Presence&#13;
• His Peace. His Provision.&#13;
• His Power. His Protection.&#13;
Isaiah 26:3 : Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.&#13;
(as I mentioned previously) I won’t bother with the details (for now) but this was a real, and very distressing situation that I actually found myself in.&#13;
I got very little sleep, and the weight of it all was already taking a toll when I got a much needed 1am call from my best friend and mentor (Eddie) telling me that help was on the way from his son in Shanghai. (thankful pause)&#13;
To make the story short, not only was I always in good hands from Eddie’s family and my Beijing brothers and sisters, but I was treated with such a wonderful overflow of love and generosity that I know I will never be the same again.&#13;
Nothing was every missing. Nothing.&#13;
“God is right on time” and so were His people.&#13;
…(and now) my life has changed in oh so many ways&#13;
My independence seems to vanish in the haze…”&#13;
It’s ok to find yourself dependent on God.&#13;
Phil 4:19: And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.&#13;
God uses people&#13;
So many of you were there for me in any and every way you could&#13;
My local church family planted the seeds of prayers and finances to make the journey possible&#13;
My far east family followed-up with every form of support imaginable&#13;
Holly came first, giving me the data and technology I needed to once again talk to people with my phone (although most of the usual avenues had been cut-off)&#13;
Then my precious friends began to take me places to see new sites and enjoy amazing foods everywhere we went&#13;
My brothers and sisters began to arrive by train and airplane to make it possible for us to get together meet for the very first time.&#13;
One of the names for God is Jehovah Shalom&#13;
The word peace is the Hebrew word shalom, which speaks of wholeness; nothing missing and nothing broken.&#13;
The word shalom encompasses health, security, good conditions, success, comfort, safety, happiness, wellness, wholeness, and soundness.&#13;
It reassures us that everything is all right, it gives a sense of well-being, and removes all concern.&#13;
It tells us we will come out of any circumstance unharmed.&#13;
It is a picture of a harmonious state of soul and mind and speaks of fulfillment, satisfaction, and contentment. There is quite a lot in this one little word shalom!&#13;
The phrase "nothing missing, nothing broken" typically signifies a state of completeness, wholeness, and lack of damage.&#13;
Col 2:10 tells us “So you also are complete through your union with Christ…”&#13;
Shalom suggests everything is in its proper place, accounted for, and in good condition. It can also be used in a more spiritual context, referring to a state of peace and contentment, free from any sense of incompleteness or brokenness.&#13;
&#13;
I am notorious for having unpopular, annoying old songs running through my brain&#13;
…but this time it was a precious Charles Wesley hymn that kept running thorough my head – and even out of my mouth – for several of those days&#13;
Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!&#13;
Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia!&#13;
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!&#13;
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!&#13;
As Believers – we are more than conquerors – we are Risen with Christ&#13;
He is Emmanuel – God With Us&#13;
He will never leave us nor forsake us!&#13;
Heb 13:5: God has said, “I will never fail you. (I will never leave you) I will never abandon you.”&#13;
&#13;
Psalm 126:&#13;
It was like a dream come true when you freed us from our bondage and brought us back to Zion!&#13;
We laughed and laughed and overflowed with gladness.&#13;
We were left shouting for joy and singing your praise.&#13;
All the nations saw it and joined in, saying, “The Lord has done great miracles for them!”&#13;
Yes, he did mighty miracles and we are overjoyed! Now, Lord, do it again! Restore us to our former glory!&#13;
May streams of your refreshing flow over us until our dry hearts are drenched again.&#13;
Those who sow their tears as seeds will reap a harvest with joyful shouts of glee.&#13;
They may weep as they go out carrying their seed to sow, but they will return with joyful laughter and shouting with gladness as they bring back armloads of blessing and a harvest overflowing!&#13;

There’s a well-known story about a famous violinist who took his $3.5 million Stradivarius onto a platform of a Washington DC subway and started playing music. He was dressed in a T-shirt and a ball cap. Joshua Bell was accustomed to playing for packed concert halls and getting paid $1,000 a minute. During his 43-minute solo concert in the subway a total of 1097 people passed by. But only seven people stopped to listen. He earned $32 in change.&#13;
J.T. Tillman, a computer specialist, was one of the people who walked by. He said, “I didn’t think nothing of it, just a guy trying to make a couple of bucks.” Tillman would’ve given him some cash, but he spent all his money on the lotto. When he was told that he stiffed one of the best musicians in the world, he asked, “Is he ever going to play around here again?” The reporter said, “Yeah, but you’re going to have to pay a lot to hear him.”&#13;
Exactly one person recognized Joshua Bell. Her name was Stacy. She positioned herself 10 feet away from Bell, front row, center. She had a huge grin on her face.&#13;
She said, “It was the most astonishing thing I’ve ever seen in Washington. Joshua Bell was standing there playing at rush-hour, and people were not stopping, and not even looking, and some more flipping quarters at him! Quarters!&#13;
I was thinking, ‘Oh my gosh, what kind of a city do I live in that this could happen?’”&#13;
It’s not what we see – it’s what we perceive&#13;

John 13: Then Jesus was moved deeply in his spirit. Looking at his disciples, he announced, “I tell you the truth—one of you is about to betray me.”&#13;
John asked: “Master, who is it?”&#13;
Jesus: “The one I give this piece of bread to after I’ve dipped it in the bowl,” Jesus replied&#13;
&#13;
When Jesus gave the bread to Judas, none of the others connected it with what He had just said!&#13;
&#13;
John 13:26, Jesus tells his disciples that he will give a morsel of bread to the one who will betray him. He then dips the morsel and hands it to Judas Iscariot.&#13;
vs 28: But no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him.&#13;
&#13;
John 12:16: Now Jesus’ disciples didn’t fully understand the importance of what was taking place, but after he was raised and exalted into glory, they understood how Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies in the Scriptures that were written about him.&#13;
&#13;
Do we have an intellectual understanding – or do we have a revelation?&#13;
&#13;
Today on Resurrection Sunday, may we truly have a Resurrection Revelation&#13;
Eph 5:14: “Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”&#13;
“flesh and blood hath not revealed this”&#13;
&#13;
Matthew 13:15: Their minds are dull and slow to perceive, their ears are plugged and are hard of hearing, and they have deliberately shut their eyes to the truth. Otherwise they would open their eyes to see, and open their ears to hear, and open their minds to understand. Then they would turn to me and I would instantly heal them.&#13;
&#13;
We need a resurrection revelation. It is not something we see with our natural eyes. It is spiritually discerned, and revealed by Holy Spirit.&#13;
&#13;
Start this Resurrection Sunday – and in affect – your New Life&#13;
– with this Divine Revelation:&#13;
2 Cor 5:19: God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them. And he has entrusted to us the message of reconciliation.&#13;
&#13;
Christians should be the people of The Way. Light Bearers.&#13;
&#13;
“We are offering hope, dignity, mercy and love.”&#13;
WE have all been give the ministry of sharing the Good News about Jesus with everyone&#13;
&#13;
Col 2:14: “ …he canceled the unfavorable record of our debts with its binding rules and did away with it completely by nailing it to the cross.”&#13;
&#13;
We’re here to give others the hope and confidence of a better life&#13;
&#13;
We look beyond ourselves and we become confident in God’s Gift of Divine Mercy&#13;
&#13;
“Mercy is always an invitation to a better life.”&#13;
&#13;
The Resurrection Revelation can change everything for you&#13;
&#13;
As Believers – as followers of Jesus - You are “risen with Christ”&#13;
&#13;
Once we get that revelation living in our hearts, our next job is to share it with the whole world.&#13;
&#13;
Eph 1:18: I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,&#13;
&#13;
“flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling”&#13;
&#13;
• Open the eyes of my heart, Lord Open the eyes of my heart&#13;
I want to see You I want to see You&#13;
To see You high and lifted up Shinin' in the light of Your glory&#13;

A Resurrection Revelation is a spiritual awakening to what Jesus paid the price for you and I to have.&#13;
&#13;
When you have a true Resurrection Revelation, and you understand our Redemption, our New Covenant –&#13;
if you love God and walk in the Fear of the Lord, you will never minimize what Jesus has won for us in His crucifixion.&#13;
&#13;
1 Peter 2:24: “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”&#13;
&#13;
Jesus said “according to your faith let it be to you.” (Matt 9:29)&#13;
&#13;
How can we have faith for things we don’t know? How can we know unless we hear it?&#13;
How can we hear it unless someone shares the whole truth with us?&#13;
&#13;
Jesus was disruptive in His time on earth&#13;
Jesus is still disruptive in 2025 – He is calling us out of our complacency.&#13;
&#13;
Romans 13:11: now it is high time to awaken out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when we first believed.&#13;
&#13;
Today is Resurrection Sunday.&#13;
After the resurrection, Jesus would soon ascend into heaven.&#13;
&#13;
John 16:7: But here’s the truth: It’s to your advantage that I go away…&#13;
…for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.&#13;
&#13;
(Jesus was referring to the Holy Spirit, Who would come on the Day of Pentecost when all in the upper room received the baptism of the Holy Spirt and Fire)&#13;
&#13;
Luke 24:49: I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.&#13;
&#13;
What Jesus promised was not a lesser form of Himself, but all the fullness&#13;
&#13;
Eph 3:19: “…that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”&#13;
&#13;
Jesus is the True Vine. We are the branches. Apart from Him we can do nothing.&#13;
&#13;
But yes, we have our part to play&#13;
&#13;
Jesus said: “According to your faith let it be done to you”&#13;

When Jesus visited His hometown we read:&#13;
Matt 13:58: And he did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.&#13;

Eph 4:13: until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.&#13;

A guy shows up late for work. The boss yells, “You shoulda been here at 8:30!”&#13;
He replies, “Why? What happened at 8:30?”&#13;

That is SO my work world.&#13;
I get to work super early – but even 2 hrs later I see people driving in to work, and dragging like they have been forced to show up before noon.&#13;
&#13;
You hear people say things like, “I just can’t seem to get out of bed. I just can’t ever get here on time.”&#13;
&#13;
“Clear Your Mind of ‘Can’t’”&#13;
&#13;
When we don’t live up to our potential, we do everyone a disservice – including the Lord.&#13;
We tell ourselves we “can’t” do something until it simply becomes part of our internal programming.&#13;
It becomes part of our story.&#13;
Tony: We all have our own story. And we stay attached to our story. This can stop us from growing and living. You wanna make your life better? Change your story, change your life.&#13;
TRUTH: There is a core story that governs your actions. ( )&#13;
&#13;
It controls your decision-making. It is either propelling you forward or holding you back.&#13;
It tells you what you can do – and what you can NOT do.&#13;
You story may say things like:&#13;
‘I’m not good enough. I don’t matter. There is something wrong with me.’&#13;

Your story may come from how you were raised… and what you were told.&#13;
Your story may have been birthed by times of great hurt…. maybe from someone you really loved.&#13;

Maybe a past failure created your story.&#13;
Understand this: You may have a story – but you are not your story.&#13;
Your story can change.&#13;
Who we are is what we have become up until now.&#13;
&#13;
Who we can become is based on what we believe and do with the days that follow – starting today.&#13;
Today is the 4th Sunday of the Lenten Season.&#13;
What did you give up for Lent?&#13;

Expand your horizons – you owe it to the rest of us.&#13;

Measuring Cup (different sizes)&#13;
Which measuring cup are you using to pour your life out with?&#13;

If your measuring cup based on other peoples’ performance, you will never come close to your potential.&#13;
Because you are unique in this world. A peculiar person. ;)&#13;

Comparison is a deadly trap that limits our potential.&#13;
Hold yourself up to a higher standard.&#13;

We magnify God when we humble ourselves and let Him work through us.&#13;

“Your purpose is to become a vessel God can use for His glory.”&#13;

Give up your story about what is possible for GOD to do through you.&#13;
&#13;
“The end of your strength is the beginning of GOD’s”&#13;
&#13;
God wants to do something new in you today, but that means you may have to give up something old.&#13;
&#13;
“If you let your present results control your thinking you will create more of the same.”&#13;
&#13;
Ever find yourself being annoyed by the radio or the television and then you finally get the revelation that all you have to do is turn it off?&#13;
&#13;
The thoughts that say “you are not enough” are just old recordings.&#13;
You can turn them off. ( )&#13;
&#13;
Clear your mind of “can’t” and embrace the truth about who you are in Christ.&#13;
&#13;
“Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”&#13;
&#13;
Determine that now – today – you will begin to magnify the Lord in all areas of your life.&#13;
&#13;
It is a form of surrender. Your ultimate Lenten sacrifice&#13;
&#13;
Surrender is a daily practice. Sometimes it means just getting down on your knees and praying to be willing to receive guidance from a higher power.&#13;
Sometimes, it means surrendering fear and surrendering to the power of God’s love.&#13;
The point of surrender is to let go of the negative emotions that keep you in a fearful state.&#13;
&#13;
Trusting GOD to work in and through you.&#13;
&#13;
You have a story – but you are NOT your story. Be willing to turn the page today.&#13;
&#13;
I’m using the word “today” a lot because today is all we have to work with.&#13;
&#13;
A delayed decision is not a decision at all (is it?)&#13;
&#13;
Carpe Diem&#13;
Beginning TODAY you can change the stories that you constantly tell yourself.&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
Col 3:16 – “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.”&#13;
&#13;
The Message of Christ is the message of your total redemption.&#13;
&#13;
1 Cor 1:24 “…Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.”&#13;
&#13;
Spurgeon: Christ's gospel is a thing of divine power. Do you want proofs of it? Ye shall not go far.&#13;
How could Christ's gospel have been established in this world as it was, if it had not in itself intrinsic might?&#13;
By whom was it spread? … by learned doctors, by fierce warriors, … by prophets?&#13;
No; by fishermen, untaught, unlettered; save as the Spirit gave them utterance, not knowing how to preach or speak.&#13;
How did they spread it? By the bayonet, by their swords … did they convert men by force, by law, by might?&#13;
Ah I no. Nothing but their simple words, their unvarnished eloquence, their rough declamation, their unhewn oratory; these it was, which, by the blessing of God's Spirit, carried the gospel round the world within a century after the death of its founder. (paraphrase)&#13;
&#13;
Do you believe it?&#13;
Romans 10:14: But people will never ask Christ to help them if they have not believed in him. And they will never believe in him if they have not heard about him. And they will not hear about him unless somebody tells God's message to them.&#13;
&#13;
When we feel a message had no impact – do we blame the seed – or do we blame the soil (heart) that received it?&#13;
&#13;
Don’t be afraid to investigate your own doubts – but, by all means, do it with a hunger for the Truth.&#13;
&#13;
Col 3:16: “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you…”&#13;
&#13;
This verse is found in the letter of Paul to the Colossians, where he is encouraging the believers to live a life that reflects their faith in Christ.&#13;
The phrase "dwell in you richly" suggests that the word of Christ should not just be a passing thought or a surface-level knowledge, but should be deeply embedded in our hearts, minds, and lives.&#13;
&#13;
Let the word of Christ live in you richly, flooding you with all wisdom. Apply the Scriptures as you teach and instruct one another with the Psalms, and with festive praises, and with prophetic songs given to you spontaneously by the Spirit, so sing to God with all your hearts!&#13;
&#13;
Change your heart – change your story. The Future is Unwritten.&#13;
“Mis-living our lives”&#13;
&#13;
When we think about the future, do we feel peace and confidence, or do we feel anxiety?&#13;
Anxiety comes from a sense of lack or inadequacy. (something is missing)&#13;
&#13;
If we establish our completeness, we approach the future knowing that whatever we truly need will come to us through that completeness we have in Christ.&#13;
&#13;
“Mercy is always an invitation to a better life.”&#13;
&#13;

GOD’s righteous cause is carried out by His people who have humbled themselves and submitted to HIS Power in order to fulfill the mission HE has put before them.&#13;

Will you let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly?&#13;
Will you replace the old limitations with God’s New Covenant promises?&#13;

Can you choose to give up your story today about why you can’t do something that GOD has said you can do?&#13;
&#13;
Will you replace the failures of the past with the total victory of the cross?&#13;

Can you become still and know that God is with you now, and that, in and through Him, all things are possible. …and you can be whole and complete in Him?&#13;

Psalm 41:1-3&#13;
&#13;
a famous writer: “We teach best what we most need to learn.”&#13;
(this is the sermon I need to hear)&#13;
&#13;
Those people at the edge of the exit ramp. (we’re used to it now…)&#13;
&#13;
I remember the first time I saw a sign that said “Will work for Food”&#13;
&#13;
We never really know who is “for real” do we?&#13;
&#13;
Heb 13:2: Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.&#13;
&#13;
This verse encourages believers to be hospitable and kind to others, as they might be unknowingly entertaining divine messengers.&#13;
&#13;
We are to be channels for God’s Divine Mercy&#13;
“restoring human dignity” “Mercy is rehumanizing”&#13;
&#13;
Our choices help to shape our lives – and people do make bad decisions – (and although that’s true) we aren’t called to judge them for that.&#13;
We here to lift them out of their pit.&#13;
&#13;
Matt 5:7: How blessed you are when you demonstrate tender mercy! For tender mercy will be demonstrated to you.&#13;
&#13;
We are to be Channels of God’s Mercy.&#13;
&#13;
Just like God showed US His Mercy – the grace and mercy we did not deserve.&#13;
&#13;
“We pray “forgive us our trespasses…”&#13;
&#13;
We have to allow God’s grace to flow to others, too.&#13;
&#13;
“The mandate of Divine Mercy is to continually expand our definition of “neighbor”&#13;
until no one stands outside the circle of compassion.”&#13;
God blesses those who are kind to the poor. He helps them out of their troubles.&#13;
Although you may feel less than successful in being this kind of giving and forgiving Christian, God’s strength and power are ready to fill that gap.&#13;
“ …my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.”&#13;
&#13;
This message is not meant to condemn – maybe it is not even meant to convict.&#13;
Maybe it is really to correct. To correct our course and our priorities.&#13;
Starting with me.&#13;
&#13;
“…those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and… the gift of righteousness (will) reign in life…”&#13;
&#13;
To fully experience God’s grace we have to be willing to show it as well.&#13;
&#13;
Matthew Kelly: “Do you have a relationship with the poor? If we want to have a personal relationship with God, a personal relationship with the poor is vital.”&#13;
&#13;
God always blesses those who are kind to the poor and helpless.&#13;
They’re the first ones God helps when they find themselves in any trouble.&#13;
The Lord will preserve and protect them.&#13;
They’ll be honored and esteemed while their enemies are defeated.&#13;
When they are sick, lying upon their bed of suffering, God will restore them.&#13;
He will raise them up again and restore them back to health.&#13;
&#13;
“Do something today that your future self will thank you for.”&#13;
&#13;
James 4:10: Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.&#13;
&#13;
The Heart of GOD&#13;
&#13;
GOD’s Heart&#13;

“…working in and through you…”&#13;
&#13;
We help by giving alms…&#13;
&#13;
…but we also help by lifting up heads – pointing others to the truth we have received.&#13;
Andrew Carnegie didn’t just make donations – he deliberately found ways to get life-changing information to people to lift them out of their poverty.&#13;
&#13;
“Give a man a fish…”&#13;
&#13;
A smart investor knows it is important where they invest their hard-earned resources.&#13;
&#13;
We know that when we give to a ministry (such as Hillside) that preaches the gospel, that continues to direct people to the Cross – to Jesus – that it is fertile soil for the Kingdom of God.&#13;
&#13;
That means your seed you plant will produce an abundant crop. A good harvest&#13;
&#13;
…but what about when you give to that person on the street corner?&#13;
&#13;
Prov 19:17: Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed.&#13;
&#13;
Matt 25:40: ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’&#13;
&#13;
unto the least of these… you have done it unto ME&#13;
&#13;
So we’re giving and serving Jesus when we do this&#13;
(how could there possibly be a better investment?)&#13;
&#13;
Just like everything else – we must do it in faith&#13;
&#13;
“Lord Jesus, I trust in You”&#13;
&#13;

“We are offering hope, dignity, mercy and love.”&#13;
Mother Teresa (1979 Nobel Prize): “Sometime ago, this to you will sound very strange, but I brought a girl child from the street, and I could see in the face of the child that the child was hungry. God knows how many days that she had not eaten. So I give her a piece of bread. And then the little one started eating the bread crumb by crumb. And I said to the child, eat the bread, eat the bread.&#13;
And she looked at me and said: I am afraid to eat the bread because I’m afraid when it is finished I will be hungry again.&#13;
This is a reality, and yet there is a greatness of the poor.&#13;
One evening a gentleman came to our house and said, ‘There is a Hindu family and the eight children have not eaten for a long time. Do something for them.’&#13;
And I took rice and I went immediately, and there was this mother, those little ones’ faces, shining eyes from sheer hunger. She took the rice from my hand, she divided into two and she went out. When she came back, I asked her, ‘Where did you go? What did you do?’&#13;
And one answer she gave me: ‘They are hungry also.’&#13;
She knew that the next door neighbor, a Muslim family, was hungry.&#13;
What surprised me most, not that she gave the rice, but what surprised me most, that in her suffering, in her hunger, she knew that somebody else was hungry, and she had the courage to share, share the love. And this is what I mean, I want you to love the poor, and never turn your back to the poor, for in turning your back to the poor, you are turning it to Christ.”&#13;

              <text>"Grace &amp; Discipline"&#13;
Romans 5:17&#13;
&#13;
A man had lost an amazing amount of weight, and had gone from essentially bed-ridden to an active lifestyle… until the day he caved on his desire and had a regular soda. …one with sugar in it.&#13;
that one single choice quickly led him back to his old weight of around 600 pounds.&#13;
What happened?&#13;
One single moment of a lack of discipline destroyed all his progress. In a single can of sweetened soda.&#13;
We all know it takes discipline to achieve and keep a promise or a goal.&#13;
&#13;
Those choices we make – it takes discipline to keep those commitments.&#13;
Whether it’s a choice to exercise regularly – to eat better – to save money – to sacrifice something for the Lenten season - to use our time better – or maybe something as serious as staying off drugs or alcohol – changing our whole lifestyle for the sake of ourselves or our loved-ones – it takes discipline to remain true to our desired pattern of change.&#13;
It can be so hard, though. Maybe even feel impossible.&#13;
"You cannot be punished by telling the truth to yourself. You can only be rewarded."&#13;
I know. You say, “I’ve tried this before.”&#13;
&#13;
The irony is, it takes grace in order to have discipline.&#13;
&#13;
Grace allows you the power to “drive on.” To persist.&#13;
&#13;
To NOT let the devil win.&#13;
This, in turn, creates discipline to continue to change.&#13;
To see that same power at work in many areas of your life.&#13;
Sanctification.&#13;
GOD says, “My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.”&#13;
The scripture "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9) emphasizes that God's grace is enough for believers, and His power is shown most clearly in their weaknesses.&#13;
“ …my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.”&#13;
Here we are at Week Three of Lent. Lenten season is passing by quickly.&#13;
As we come nearer and nearer to Resurrection Sunday (Easter) we also recognize that this means we will first have to go through the crucifixion.&#13;
As Jesus prepared for these eventualities, the world was about to change in a total 180 degree direction.&#13;
After thousands of years of rebellion and repentance, the power to finally be made right with God was about to be made available.&#13;
The cries of many millennium was about to be answered by a single, solitary life sacrificed for us.&#13;
Brian Houston – “His disgrace brought us grace.”&#13;
John 12 tells us that his disciples did not understand all of this as it was happening.&#13;
“While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become children of light.”&#13;
&#13;
? Do we really understand this thing we call “grace?”&#13;
Heb 4:16: So now we draw near freely and boldly to where grace is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.&#13;

How right he was! The very heart of the gospel is the supreme truth that God accepts us with no conditions whatever when we put our trust in the atoning sacrifice of His incarnate Son. Although we are helplessly sinful, God in grace forgives us completely.&#13;
It's by His infinite grace that we are saved, not by moral character, works of righteousness, commandment-keeping, or churchgoing.&#13;
"You either live in the shame that you don't measure up or rest in the reality that Jesus measured up on your behalf."&#13;
&#13;
It’s all about GRACE. “an act…of kindness, courtesy, or clemency.”&#13;
&#13;
“Grace is the power of God made available to meet all our needs.”&#13;
It is at the true foundation of Christianity.&#13;
&#13;
By grace the lost are found. By grace God’s children stand in confidence.&#13;
&#13;
This morning, I want to remind you of the sufficiency of God’s grace&#13;
in every part of your life.&#13;
The power of God is made available to you!&#13;
The Power to Drive On. To Stay on the Path&#13;
Trust. Gratitude. Faith.&#13;
&#13;
Romans 5:17: If, because of the one man's trespass, death exercised dominion through that one, much more surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness exercise dominion in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.&#13;
&#13;
“will live in triumph over sin and death”&#13;
&#13;
If you are struggling this morning with the issues of life, God’s power is made available because His grace is sufficient.&#13;
&#13;
“Grace is the face that God wears when He looks at my failures.”&#13;
We need grace to live this life.&#13;
“…those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and… the gift of righteousness (will) reign in life…”&#13;
&#13;
Allow yourself to receive God’s grace in your life today.&#13;
It is the only way to truly change.&#13;
&#13;
Grace can cleanse the heart of the past – and set you free to begin to look forward in your life – maybe for the first time in a long time?&#13;
&#13;
Don’t keep digging up that which was buried in Christ&#13;
Don’t let the devil win.&#13;
“When you believe a lie you empower the liar”&#13;
Don’t empower that which has no power&#13;
Don’t take the bait. That’s what lent is about.&#13;
Abiding in God’s grace allows you a new empowerment – discipline – to promote you to the next level God has ready for you.&#13;
If the enemy can’t reawaken the old appetites, he will try get us to carry guilt and shame for our past.&#13;
Thinking about past sin brings up an emotion of the past. We are visiting a lie if grace does not override those things.&#13;
whatever the enemy says about you cannot withstand God’s great mercy.&#13;
You are not defined by your mistakes and failures but are prepared by them.&#13;
&#13;
You are defined by what God says about you. In Jesus’ name and in the victory of the cross you are forgiven and redeemed and free from condemnation.&#13;
Will you become a victim of your history or a master of your destiny?&#13;
“…those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and… the gift of righteousness (will) reign in life…”&#13;
&#13;
Can you see with the eyes of faith that the door of your past is now closed behind you – and a new door is opened before you?&#13;
There is no side exit. You have no choice but to look ahead and move forward.&#13;
&#13;
How will you approach this new day knowing that everything is ahead of you?&#13;
&#13;
“Your Purpose is to be a vessel that God can use for His glory.”&#13;
His grace empowers and equips you to become that vessel.&#13;
&#13;
Jesus came to make everything new. “I make all things new” (Rev 21:5)&#13;
&#13;
We know “as we sow, we reap.” “We pray “forgive us our trespasses…”&#13;
&#13;
We have to allow God’s grace to flow to others, too.&#13;
&#13;
There are people and circumstances in your past that you may have found very difficult to forgive – to pardon – to show grace to.&#13;
&#13;
To fully experience God’s grace we have to be willing to show it as well.&#13;
&#13;
Where are you holding on? What is that unpardonable grudge?&#13;
&#13;
If you are struggling this morning with the issues of life, God’s power is made available because His grace is sufficient.&#13;

“Do something today that your future self will thank you for.”&#13;

Today God’s grace is here to allow you to forgive – and to be forgiven.&#13;

God’s grace at work in your life is the power you need to truly change.&#13;

Col 1:24-29&#13;
What situations on this planet stir your soul? What changes do you wish you could see?&#13;
So many times, the things we see that frustrate us, or the needs we see as unfulfilled, are reflections of our hearts, and our unique Divine calling to fill that need.&#13;
Someone is counting on YOU. Are YOU “The ONE?”&#13;
? What holds us back from being the One who takes action to serve the Lord and our fellow man? To make a difference. To do the work of the Kingdom?&#13;
Unworthiness.&#13;
“Don’t let the devil win”&#13;
Romans 8:34: "Who then is left to condemn us? Certainly not Jesus, the Anointed One! For he gave his life for us, and even more than that, he has conquered death and is now risen, exalted, and enthroned by God at his right hand."&#13;
This verse means that no one can condemn those who are in Christ because Jesus died and took on their condemnation. Jesus' resurrection and position at the right hand of God mean that He intercedes for us.&#13;
Jesus (through the cross) has paid the price for our sin.&#13;
We need to recognize the Divine Mercy Jesus offers us today.&#13;
mercy: compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm.&#13;
We are called to be conduits of His Mercy&#13;
The Mystery – “Christ IN You” allows His Divine Mercy to flow through us in more ways than we can even comprehend.&#13;
Are you OPEN to that possibility?&#13;
“Blessed are the Merciful…”&#13;
“God wants to fill us with His mercy. Humility is the door through which God’s mercy flows into our souls…”&#13;
Micah 6:8 “…and to walk humbly with thy God”&#13;
“Jesus, I Trust in YOU”&#13;
“The virtue of Trust is in many ways an acknowledgement of the reality that God is in control. It is also a belief that God has a plan for our lives and will provide for us in that plan.”&#13;
"If you wait until you can do everything for everybody instead of something for somebody, you'll end up not doing anything for anybody."&#13;
Luke 12:32: So don’t ever be afraid, dearest friends! Your loving Father joyously gives you his kingdom with all its promises!&#13;
GOD is merciful&#13;

The more I experience His Mercy in MY life, the more it simply has to flow out of me to others. Anything less than that would be total hypocrisy.&#13;
Bringing mercy to others&#13;
People need it much more than we may realize&#13;
William Butler Yeats wrote: “The falcon cannot hear the falconer;&#13;
Things fall apart. The centre cannot hold.”&#13;
The message is clear: Things fall apart when we cannot hear the voice pf God in our lives. Separated from God, the center of our lives cannot hold, and chaos and confusion take over.&#13;
Have you ever been in that place?&#13;
Mercy Lam 3:22,23: “His mercies are NEW EVERY MORNING”&#13;
We don’t give up on ourselves, because we don’t give up on God.&#13;
We don’t give up on GOD because we know HE doesn’t give up on US.&#13;
Malachi 3:7: Return to Me, and I will return to you," says the Lord of hosts.&#13;
Without God, life loses its structure, purpose, and hope.&#13;
The emptiness in your soul cannot be filled by anything but Him. When you invite Him back in, He restores, redeems, and reshapes what was broken.&#13;
Let God take His rightful place, and watch Him bring order to the chaos.&#13;
Divine Mercy is the intervention our lives need – the whole world needs.&#13;
&#13;
We sing “Trust &amp; Obey” – but are we practicing it?&#13;
We are called to trust – and to rest.&#13;
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is nothing. For all our accomplishments and success, what we really need is grace and mercy.&#13;
Can we take time to just “Be Still and know He is God?”&#13;
“It was by sitting alone in the Presence of God in quiet, empty churches that the Lord touched my life deeply. Out of the silence came a profound gratitude.”&#13;

&#13;
“Jesus, I Trust in YOU”&#13;
The old covenant mindset of “DO and receive” must be replaced by the New Covenant Grace of “Believe and Receive.”&#13;
This also tells us, there is nothing we can do to “make” God love us.&#13;
All that is left is to learn to receive graciously that which we don’t deserve, but can’t live without.&#13;
We open our hearts, minds, bodies and souls completely to God and allow Him to work unimpeded in our lives.&#13;
Our part is simply to believe and receive all that Jesus has done for us.&#13;
&#13;
That’s how you reign in life over sin, addictions, and whatever the enemy throws at you. That’s how you rise above life’s challenges!&#13;
Col 2:9-11: For he (Jesus) is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us.&#13;
He is the Head of every kingdom and authority in the universe! Through our union with him we have experienced circumcision of heart.&#13;
All of the guilt and power of sin has been cut away and is now extinct because of what Christ, the Anointed One, has accomplished for us.&#13;
Hebrews 10:12, 14: But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God . . . For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.&#13;
My Thursday morning revelation… (why was I so happy? It wasn’t the coffee)&#13;
I “preached myself happy” (refueled) (milk vs. chewing on meat)&#13;
KEY: Reset Your Mindset from what YOU have done (or have NOT done) and focus on what JESUS has done for you.&#13;
This makes all difference.&#13;
It is the difference between being self – or works–centered, and, instead, being Goodness and Mercy centered. God’s Grace&#13;
Col 2:28: “Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of truth.”&#13;
If this truth resonates with you – if this is a life-changing revelation for you as well, it’s time to fully enlist yourself – your heart – your energy – toward sharing this message with others.&#13;
(there are so many ways we can do that)&#13;
We are called to be conduits of His Mercy&#13;

• Tell them what you’re going to tell them.&#13;

So… I am going to begin today with a summary of what you’re about to hear.&#13;
&#13;
“Nothing in your life can ever really change if you’re way of thinking remains the same.”&#13;
&#13;
Your first thought may be, “I know what he’s going to say. He’s talked about this before.” If that is your thought right now, you definitely need to hear this message.&#13;
&#13;
Have you ever tried to talk to someone and they say “I know” as soon as you start talking?&#13;
…or worse yet, they start filling in the… blanks? Finishing your… sentences?&#13;
&#13;
It was once said: “Knowing it all is nothing but an illusion of knowledge.”&#13;
&#13;
The impulse to tell ourselves that we already know something is a conditioned response.&#13;
The “know-it-all” is programmed to believe that way – and they don’t even know it.&#13;
&#13;
Here’s a super-big challenge for us today:&#13;
First of all, can you admit that maybe there is something in your life that is not quite “perfect” just yet? ( )&#13;
If you’re honest enough to admit that – even if only to yourself, then this might just indicate that you don’t quite know it all yet.&#13;

Encyclopedias were great, but…&#13;

Can you embrace this opportunity right now to approach today with a grateful heart to be able open GOD’s Word together accept the challenge to learn and grow?&#13;

Romans 11:33-36: Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! For who can know the LORD’s thoughts?&#13;
Who knows enough to give him advice? And who has given him so much that he needs to pay it back? For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.&#13;

Being a “know-it-all” and being negative minded usually seem to go together.&#13;
&#13;
It makes sense – because if you already “know” everything, where is the HOPE of learning more – ? - or things getting better for you?&#13;

Welcome to Lent 2025.&#13;
Are we willing to give up what we “know” for what God is trying to reveal to us?&#13;
&#13;
The most used scripture for the start of the Lenten season is from the book of Joel:&#13;
That is why the LORD says, “Turn to me now, while there is time.&#13;
Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.&#13;
13 Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.”&#13;
Return to the LORD your God, for he is merciful and compassionate,&#13;
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.&#13;
(Joel 2:12,13)&#13;
&#13;
I started pastoral ministry with very little traditional Methodist background.&#13;
&#13;
My two Methodist pastors were both very non-traditional. And they were both two of the strongest voices in my life as mentors and as Godly men who lived by example.&#13;
&#13;
We learn – and we grow.&#13;
Our understanding expands as we allow ourselves to become teachable.&#13;
&#13;
Horace said, “Men cease to think when they think they know it all.”&#13;
&#13;
We build our faith on a foundation of scripture and tradition, so we have to make sure we are always building it on truth.&#13;
&#13;
There are many well-meaning but misguided people who would minimize what GOD is able to do in your life today –&#13;
- despite what is happening all over the planet -&#13;
- and it is all because they have been taught wrong.&#13;
&#13;
You cannot have faith for something that you don’t believe is the will of GOD.&#13;
&#13;
Right Believing will produce Right Results.&#13;
&#13;
A limited Gospel is a powerless message that will not change this world.&#13;
&#13;
My trip to Wales&#13;
My one desire for that trip was to visit where the Welsh Revival bagn.&#13;
&#13;
Historically, the revolutionary prayers of Evan Roberts and a small group of praying people changed an entire nation.&#13;
Had they not had the faith to believe that “all things are indeed possible to those who can believe” – what would have happened?&#13;
&#13;
Would there have been a Welsh revival?&#13;
Would thousands have been saved and multitudes of lives transformed?&#13;
&#13;
Evan Roberts: “The Power of the revival in South Wales is not of men, but all of God. He has been close to us and has shown us the way.&#13;
&#13;
… I have merely preached the religion of Jesus Christ as I myself have experienced it.&#13;
God has “made me glad,” and I am showing others the great joy of serving Him, a joy so great and so wonderful that I shall never be able to express it in its completeness.&#13;
&#13;
We are teaching no sectarian doctrine, only the wonder and the beauty of Christ’s love, the love of man for Him, and the love of man for man.&#13;
&#13;
I have been asked concerning my methods. I have none. I never prepare the words I shall speak. I leave all that to Him.&#13;
I am not the source of this revival. I am only one agent in what is growing to be a multitude. I am not moving men’s hearts and changing men’s lives; not I, but “God worketh in me.”&#13;
I have found what is, in my belief, the highest kind of Christianity. I desire to give my life, which is all I have to give, to helping others to find it also. Many have already found it, thank God, and many more are finding it through them.”&#13;
&#13;
The Prophet Joel: ‘In the last days,’ God says,‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions,&#13;
and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit&#13;
even on my servants — men and women alike — and they will prophesy.&#13;
&#13;
People all over the world are praying for and expecting a new “Great Awakening”&#13;
like we read about in times past.&#13;
&#13;
An awakening where men and women’s hearts are once more turned to the Lord in repentance and submission to GODs Word.&#13;
When their eyes are opened to the truth and are no longer blinded by the lies of the world – the media – the carnal globalists who want to strip you of your uncompromised faith.&#13;
&#13;
We know that revival – the Great Awakening – starts with the believers.&#13;
&#13;
2 Chron 7:14: “ …if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”&#13;
&#13;
Jung's idea is that we don't see God because we don't look low enough.&#13;
We have to humble ourselves and pray and seek GOD’s face and turn from our wicked ways.&#13;
&#13;
…Just like they did in England… in Germany – in Wales – with the early settlers in America - and anywhere that GOD moved and changed the landscape with the truth of the Gospel.&#13;
&#13;
We must take the limits off of what GOD can do by building our foundation of faith on the truth of GODs Word and no longer believing for anything less than true Holy Ghost revival in our lives – in our churches – and in our communities.&#13;
&#13;
2 Tim 1:6 reminds us to “stir up the gifts that are inside of us.”&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
? Is your heart cold and un-stirrable today – or can it yet again be touched by Holy Spirit’s still small voice today?&#13;
&#13;
Heb 3:11: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion."&#13;
&#13;
“Nothing in your life can ever really change if you’re way of thinking remains the same.”&#13;
&#13;
If you’re ready to change today – you will have to learn to look forward again.&#13;
&#13;
You will have to be open to hearing a New Word from GOD today.&#13;
&#13;
One word from God today can change your life forever.&#13;

Job 22:29&#13;
You either grow bitter or you get better. It's that simple.&#13;
&#13;
You either take what has been dealt to you (or even the mess you’ve created all by yourself) and allow it to make you a better person, or you just allow it to tear you down.&#13;
&#13;
The choice does not belong to ‘fate.’&#13;
&#13;
It belongs to YOU. …and me.&#13;
&#13;
How’s that for a challenging intro?&#13;
“When I leave this earth, I want to leave a legacy that my family will be proud of.”&#13;
Do you ever think about that?&#13;
legacy: the long-lasting impact of particular events, actions, etc. that took place in the past, or of a person’s life.&#13;
We all start somewhere – and we will all end up somewhere.&#13;
What we do in-between will determine our legacy.&#13;
Truth: For the most part, we are forgotten by most folks shortly after we shed this mortal coil. But not if we leave our message in someone’s heart.&#13;
When your legacy is written on the hearts of those your life has touched, the impact can go on for generations to come.&#13;
Our earthy assignment always involves service to other people.&#13;
One of the greatest gifts we can give others is to listen, to support, and to encourage.&#13;
To show people that their lives matter, and that they, too, have a purpose, a legacy to fulfill.&#13;
Job 22:29: When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, ‘There is lifting up!’ And He shall save the humble person.&#13;
When people are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast.&#13;
Maybe you don’t feel qualified to be that person.&#13;
“If you’re feeling help-less, one KEY is to become more help-ful.”&#13;
What if I told you that there are people in your life right now that are looking to you to be the One?&#13;
The One who takes the family – the business – the culture – to a higher level.&#13;
The one who breaks free from the gravitational pull of what some might call “generational curses.”&#13;
It will take extra effort to push against the comfort zone.&#13;
To think higher thoughts. To defy the odds.&#13;
To rise up and rise above and leave behind the constraints of what once was.&#13;
&#13;
Remember in Back to the Future, the school principle got in Marty McFly’s (Michael J. Fox) face and said, “Why even bother, McFly? You haven't got a chance. You're too much like your old man. No McFly ever amounted to anything in the history of Hill Valley.”&#13;
Ok – so that reference is just from a movie&#13;
What about the movie Hillbilly Elegy? A movie almost too painful to sit through, and yet, the story is about a young man’s struggle to overcome a severely dysfunctional family and continue to fight to get through school, go to college and then to law school.&#13;
That man is JD Vance. He is now our Vice President.&#13;
Vance's Hillbilly Elegy became a national bestseller for its raw, emotional portrait of growing up in and eventually out of a poor rural community riddled by drug addiction and instability." Vance's account anecdotally confirmed the report's conclusion that family stability is essential to upward mobility.&#13;
&#13;
When people are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast.&#13;
What will our legacy be?&#13;
You either become miserable or you become better. It's that simple.&#13;
You either accept what you are given and make it better for you, or you let it break you.&#13;
&#13;
The choice is yours. It belongs to you.&#13;
Someone may be hoping that One will be YOU.&#13;
You were called for more – but it won’t happen by accident:&#13;
• Faith (if you can believe)&#13;
• Intention (have you set your intention to serve the Lord through your talents?)&#13;
• Association (Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise)&#13;
“This is what I was born to do”&#13;
If you think God is not deeply concerned about you developing your talents and gifts – - of you becoming more than you have been – then you are not familiar with the stern warning Jesus makes through the Parable of the Talents.&#13;
It’s not just a nice story.&#13;
? How serious does God take the intentional development of our talents – our gifts?&#13;
The Parable of the Talents is a Bible story from Matthew 25:14–30 that tells of a master who entrusts his property to his servants. The parable is about responding to the Gospel with faith and using one's talents to do good.&#13;
Jesus gives these earthly stories to express heavenly truths. Much of Jesus’ teachings came through parables. I love the Parable of the Talents. In this story a master who went away and gave three servants different talents according to their ability.&#13;
The master expected those servants to do something with those things they have been entrusted with.&#13;
Jesus has left us with talents and abilities that he expects us to do something with.&#13;
? How did the Master respond to the one who did not use those talents?&#13;
GOD expects us to use our gifts to:&#13;
1) Multiply the Kingdom 2) Edify our brothers and Sisters 3) Grow Individually&#13;
One great thing about our Savior is that He has not left us here on Earth helpless.&#13;
Jesus did not leave us with the Great Commission helpless to carry it out.&#13;
He has given us talents, he has given us gifts that we can use to accomplish the task we have been commanded to do.&#13;
Someone is counting on YOU. Are YOU “The ONE?”&#13;
“We Lift by Love”&#13;
? Maybe you have tried to step up to a new level?&#13;
You tried to set a new standard for you and your loved ones, but opposition you had never faced before came out of nowhere.&#13;
There are forces of darkness that don’t want you to take new ground.&#13;
Follow the commands of Jesus:&#13;
Love the Lord your GOD Love your neighbor as yourself&#13;
“We Lift by Love” Everything hinges on this.&#13;
Out of this intentionality will arise the Kingdom gifts God has placed inside of us.&#13;
Job 22:29: When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, ‘There is lifting up!’ And He shall save the humble person.&#13;
When people are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast.&#13;
AVOID the “Ministry of Condemnation” – both in the receiving and the delivering.&#13;
(don’t let anyone do it – and don’t do it to yourself)&#13;
We lift by love – we point others to the cross&#13;
Spurgeon: God first gives us Grace and then rewards us for it! He works in us and then counts the fruit as our work. We work out our own salvation, because “He works in us to will and to do of His own good pleasure.”&#13;
We are to go out and do the works God has called us to do, not based on our merit or level of perfection, but because of the Greater One Who lives and moves in us.&#13;
We are branches.&#13;
Matthew 7:11, Jesus tells us God gives good gifts to His children. Good Things.&#13;
What are we waiting for? Do we really have an endless supply of time?&#13;
Eph 5:16: redeeming the time, because the days are evil.&#13;
making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.&#13;
“Make your life a mission – not an intermission.”&#13;
Your service to God is the fruit of your life based on His Grace&#13;
Psalm 63:8 - With passion I pursue and cling to you. Because I feel your grip on my life, I keep my soul close to your heart.</text>

John 14:27&#13;

Ed Mylett podcast: an interview with a famous singer who had gone through a very devastating time period.&#13;
&#13;
“the scariest time of my life where I'm still living in my car. I'm still I was still $200,000 in debt.&#13;
I got tired of living a life trying to put on a mask or pretend to be what everybody else thought I should be.&#13;
&#13;
the words of a song called “living a lie” came on his radio and he woke up to where his life really was.”&#13;
“ I couldn't get it out of my head. I went on Facebook and said, “you think you know me. You have no idea&#13;
right now I'm $200,000 in debt I'm living in my car I've hurt everyone in my life. I have no relationship with my family.&#13;
I just put it all out there - the scariest moment in my life.&#13;
&#13;
The first message I got was from a stranger who told me of the incredible impact my honesty about my own personal struggle made on him.&#13;
He wrote to me, “I said to myself, ‘how did he have that kind of strength?’”&#13;
&#13;
He said, “When I read your testimony, I put the gun down.” “I Put the gun down”&#13;
&#13;
…and it was in that moment that my purpose was birthed&#13;
&#13;
I said, “I know why I'm here! Yes - to speak to the voice of the voiceless or the parts of you that you haven't yet given a voice.”&#13;
&#13;
Ed Mylett says, “in life (here we go) you are most qualified to help the person you used to be”&#13;
&#13;
Sister Kayla posted this quote by Watchman Nee: “There is no one more beautiful than one who is broken!”&#13;
&#13;
When we take an honest assessment of where we are in our lives, offer it up to God, He can form a purpose from any kind of struggle – any kind of pain.&#13;
…and if we are living from that true purpose we also experience something wonderful: True Peace&#13;
&#13;
? Are you willing to be brave enough today to look at your life honestly, open your heart, and let the come in so that it can then flow out of you to others who need what only you can share?&#13;
&#13;
What I am going to tell you today is that by living your God-given purpose, you can discover a life of peace.&#13;
Peace Through Purpose&#13;
&#13;
“Don’t become a wandering generality. Be a meaningful specific.” ― Zig Ziglar&#13;
&#13;
We are to be bright lights – living epistles – testimonies of God’s grace and Mercy.&#13;
&#13;
(Jesus) “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”&#13;
&#13;
What is Jesus’ peace like? (Jesus led His disciples by example)&#13;
&#13;
Jesus Calms a Storm&#13;
Matt 8:23-27: They all got into a boat and began to cross over to the other side of the lake. And Jesus, exhausted, fell asleep. Suddenly a violent storm developed, with waves so high the boat was about to be swamped.&#13;
Yet Jesus continued to sleep soundly.&#13;
The disciples woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord! We’re going to die!” But Jesus reprimanded them. “Why are you gripped with fear? Where is your faith?” Then he stood and rebuked the storm, saying, “Be still!” And instantly it became perfectly calm. The disciples were astonished by this miracle and said to one another, “Who is this Man? Even the wind and waves obey his Word.”&#13;
&#13;
? Can we have this same kind of peace?&#13;
Jesus said, “I’m leaving you peace. I’m giving you my peace. I don’t give you the kind of peace that the world gives. So don’t be troubled or cowardly.”&#13;
&#13;
? Do you believe what Jesus says is true. True for YOU?&#13;
&#13;
Col 3:15: …let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.&#13;
&#13;
As we discussed before - We all have a higher purpose than we have walked in so far… even if we are striving to attain it now.&#13;
…and we need our lives made whole so we have something more to give others.&#13;
&#13;
What is Your Purpose? What is anyone’s purpose?&#13;
Your Purpose is to be a vessel God can use for His glory.&#13;
&#13;
Ephesians 5:16: Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for his purposes.&#13;
We continue to live in Peace as we live to fulfill God’s Purpose for our lives.&#13;
&#13;
Jesus: I will go away but I will give you a gift of peace. It is mine to give and yours to keep. It is not like a gift that this world gives.&#13;
&#13;
My cry to the Lord is that we could begin to walk in a new level of health and wholeness, mind, body and spirit.&#13;
- That we as a church would lead as examples of New Covenant Believers.&#13;
&#13;
Part of that should be how we demonstrate that “peace that passeth all understanding”&#13;
&#13;
"Peace that passeth all understanding" refers to a peace that transcends human understanding and cannot be fully comprehended.&#13;
&#13;
This peace is a harmony and calmness of body, mind, and spirit that's not dependent on circumstances.&#13;
• It's a peace that's promised to those who pray with thanksgiving.&#13;
• It's a peace that's distinct from what the world offers.&#13;
• It's a peace that's found in a relationship with Christ.&#13;
• It's a peace that's a result of divine intervention rather than human effort.&#13;
&#13;
In Philippians 4:7 we have a wonderful promise: “The peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”&#13;
&#13;
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”&#13;
&#13;
Prov 14:30: “A heart at peace gives life to the body…”&#13;
&#13;
When we are living our Divine Purpose, we can have a heart at peace because we know whatever the situation, God will use it all for good – and for His glory.&#13;
&#13;
Living on purpose, from purpose, becomes a daily practice.&#13;
&#13;
Phil 2:13: God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases him.&#13;
&#13;
Trusting in God – believing His promises are true – brings our heart to a resting place.&#13;
&#13;
“A heart at peace gives life to the body…”&#13;
When you’re in the midst of the storm, it’s hard to hear the Master’s voice unless you listen for it.&#13;
&#13;
He speaks to your heart today and says, “Peace Be Still.”&#13;
&#13;
Isaiah 30:15: In repentance and rest you will be saved; in staying calm and trusting will be your strength.&#13;

&#13;
Sometimes we can feel peaceful until something rocks the boat.&#13;
&#13;
The peace Jesus gives to us transcends this very natural reaction and causes us to respond in peace. (Gal 5 - Peace is the fruit of the Spirit)&#13;
&#13;
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn’t fragile like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”&#13;
&#13;
The Power of God’s Word to shape our lives is demonstrated from the beginning of the Bible until the very end.&#13;
(“I delight to do Your Will…)&#13;
&#13;
So you see – we can receive this peace by faith because of Jesus’ words.&#13;
&#13;
God calls you to live from a higher place, where His rule brings peace and purpose. He calls us all to repentance today.&#13;
Repentance isn’t just turning from sin—it’s returning to God’s original design for you. As you renew your mind, you step back into the life He intended.&#13;
&#13;
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”&#13;

&#13;
Prayer&#13;
Father, help me change my thinking and return to the life You designed for me. Rule over my heart, my mind, and my steps. Give me the grace to receive the peace you promised to me.&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
1 Peter 1:8,9: Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.</text>
