Dr. Jack He manages this church website, adds Chinese–English bilingual subtitles to Pastor Mike's sermon videos, and oversees the translation of Sunday service messages. He supports digital projects part time while working full time in healthcare.
Jack has experience with ASP.net and has developed mobile apps, including a Chinese–English medical dictionary (sample apk), as well as online searchable databases such as the ebook location search tool and Bilingual Subtitles. He also maintains JHK Press, an academic publishing site. Jack earned his PhD in Translation Studies from Newcastle University, holds Google Career Certificates in Data Analytics, and is a Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP).
Eddie Edwards
Leader and Musician
Eddie Edwards is a gifted songwriter, storyteller, and servant-leader whose life reflects resilience, faith, and devotion to God’s calling. Raised in poverty, he went on to earn a college degree in the rare natural science field of Agronomy—a testimony to God’s provision and purpose. He later served honorably in the U.S. military, achieving the rank of field grade officer, a milestone he views as a way of glorifying God and illustrating how the Lord lifted him from humble beginnings to positions of influence.
Eddie discovered his voice through writing, including the heartfelt tribute he composed after the passing of his wife. His works—such as Crystal City, It’s Our Wedding Day, and Christmas in Miami—have touched audiences across the U.S. and U.K.
Beyond music, Eddie is the founder of the International Chinese Christian Church and a lifelong martial artist, combining discipline with spiritual purpose. At Hillside Church, he faithfully lifts up prayers, encourages giving, and reminds us that our very lives can be a testimony of service to the Lord. Eddie’s leadership inspires our congregation to live generously, love deeply, and walk steadfastly with Christ.
