IDENTITY

Ephesians
2:1
- 10
My
credit
card
company
recently
called
me
to
inform
me
someone
in
Atlanta
tried
to
charge
over
$70
using
my
card
# at
a
liquor
store.
“No.
That
definitely
wasn’t
ME!”
Although
they
declined
the
attempted
charge,
I
still
had
to
have
a
new
card
issued
(which
took
a
week,)
but
no
real
harm
was
done.
It
could
have
been
so
much
worse.
Have
you
ever
been
the
victim
of
Identity
Theft?
Maybe
it
was
something
as
simple
as
someone
creating
a
fake
Facebook
account
with
your
name
and
photo…
…or
maybe
someone
got
ahold
of
your
credit
card
information
and
cleaned
out
your
bank
account!
Paul
wrote
to
the
church
in
Galatia:
So
answer
me
this:
Did
the
Holy
Spirit
come
to
you
as a
reward
for
keeping
all
the
Jewish
laws?
No,
you
received
him
as a
gift
because
you
believed
in
the
Messiah.
Your
new
life
in
the
Anointed
One
began
with
the
Holy
Spirit
giving
you
a
new
birth.
Why
then
would
you
so
foolishly
turn
from
living
in
the
Spirit
by
trying
to
finish
by
your
own
works?”
Paul
emphasizes
again
and
again
that
we
are
made
right
with
God
through
“believing
what
you
have
heard.”
This
message
must
be
shared
with
everyone,
telling
people:
1.
Jesus
Saves
2.
God
is a
God
of
reconciliation
To
those
who
are
close
to
God
–
and
to
those
who
are
far
away.
…To
the
lost
and
to
the
redeemed.
Even
as
Christians,
we
need
to
remember
we
are
justified
–
made
right
– by
faith.
Gal
3:2:
“Did
you
receive
the
Spirit
by
the
works
of
the
law
or
by
believing
what
you
heard?”
“Let
me
ask
you
this
one
question:
Did
you
receive
the
Holy
Spirit
by
obeying
the
law
of
Moses?
Of
course
not!
You
received
the
Spirit
because
you
believed
the
message
you
heard
about
Christ.”
We
must
recognize
that
our
salvation
means
we
have
already
passed
from
death
to
life.
Old
things
are
passed
away.
The
old
man
is
dead.
We
need
this
revelation
of
our
relationship
with
God.
Without
it,
we
cannot
successfully
share
our
faith
with
anyone
else.
?
Are
you
struggling
with
your
identity
in
Christ
today?
Maybe
the
deceiving
voices
of
the
enemy
– or
even
your
own
subconscious
mind
–
have
achieved,
in
you,
some
level
of
“identity
theft”
right
now.
vs
27:
For
those
of
you
who
were
baptized
into
Christ
have
been
clothed
with
Christ.
So
we
are
In
Christ
and
we
are
With
Christ
Maxwell
Maltz:
“Accept
yourself
as
you
are.
Otherwise
you
will
never
see
opportunity.
You
will
not
feel
free
to
move
toward
it;
you
will
feel
you
are
not
deserving.”
The
phrase
"the
disciple
whom
Jesus
loved"
or,
in
John
20:2;
"the
disciple
beloved
of
Jesus",
is
used
six
times
in
the
Gospel
of
John
(Joseph
Prince)
“I
used
to
think
that
of
all
the
disciples
Jesus
loved,
John
was
most
loved
by
the
Lord
because
the
Bible
calls
him
“the
disciple
whom
Jesus
loved.”
Then
one
day,
I
discovered
that
the
phrase,
“the
disciple
whom
Jesus
loved,”
only
appears
in
John’s
Gospel.
In
other
words,
it
was
John
who
called
himself
the
disciple
whom
Jesus
loved!
Was
John
being
arrogant?
Did
Jesus
love
him
more
than
the
rest?
No,
Jesus
loved
all
12
disciples
the
same,
but
John
knew
it
and
he
personalized
and
practiced
Jesus’
love
for
him.
My
friend,
that’s
what
you
ought
to
do
too.
Don’t
just
say,
“Yes,
yes,
Jesus
loves
everybody.”
Say,
“Jesus
loves
ME!”
Say,
“I
am
the
student
whom
Jesus
loves,”
or
“I
am
the
mom
whom
Jesus
loves!”
Every
day,
personalize,
practice
and
rest
in
Jesus’
love
for
you.
Expect
good
things
to
happen
to
you
when
you
believe
that
Jesus
loves
YOU
in
an
intimate
and
personal
way!”
“For
the
Holy
Spirit
speaks
to
us
and
tells
our
spirit
that
we
are
children
of
God.“
Romans
8:16,17:
For
the
Holy
Spirit
makes
God’s
fatherhood
real
to
us
as
he
whispers
into
our
innermost
being,
“You
are
God’s
beloved
child!”
And
since
we
are
his
true
children,
we
qualify
to
share
all
his
treasures,
for
indeed,
we
are
heirs
of
God
himself.
And
since
we
are
joined
to
Christ,
we
also
inherit
all
that
he
is
and
all
that
he
has.
We
will
experience
being
co-glorified
with
him
provided
that
we
accept
his
sufferings
as
our
own
“You
are
God’s
beloved
child!”
God
loves
us.
God
loves
YOU.
God
is
for
us.
God
is
for
YOU.
(He
is
on
your
side)
YOU
are
the
disciple
Jesus
loves
“Yes,
Jesus
loves
ME.”
Romans
5:1,2:
Therefore,
since
we
have
been
justified
by
faith,
we
have
peace
with
God
through
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
We
have
also
obtained
access
through
him
by
faith
into
this
grace
in
which
we
stand,
and
we
boast
in
the
hope
of
the
glory
of
God.
The
only
way
we
can
share
this
message
of
God’s
grace
with
others
is
to
understand
and
experience
it
for
ourselves.
If
your
identity
has
been
tampered
with
–
it’s
time
to
get
it
back.
satan
is
the
accuser
of
the
brethren.
“Resist
the
devil,
and
he
will
flee
from
you.”
To
flee
means
to
run
away
with
fear.
I
have
been
called
– or
emailed
-
more
than
once
to
inform
me
someone
has
tried
to
steal
my
identity.
Holy
Spirit
may
be
calling
you,
today,
to
tell
you
the
enemy
has
tried
to
steal
your
identity.
Your
right-standing
with
God.
Your
Divine
destiny
in
Christ.
Do
not
be
dismayed.
Do
not
be
discouraged.
A
new
beginning
In
Christ
is
as
close
as
your
next
breath.
God’s
grace
has
you
–
and
will
God’s
grace
can
keep
you.
Psalm
30:5
–
“his
favor
is
for
a
lifetime”
“His
grace
lasts
a
lifetime.”
“Thank
you
for
yesterday.
Thank
you
for
today.
Thank
you
for
another
new
beginning
In
Christ.”
Recognize
what
Jesus
has
done
for
you
so
that
you
can
be
restored
to
where
you
should
be
in
your
relationship
with
your
Creator.
“He
restores
my
soul.”
“Jesus
was
broken,
so
that
I
could
be
whole.”
John
knew
Jesus
loved
him
and
he
personalized
and
practiced
Jesus’
love
for
him.
“You
loved
me
and
gave
yourself
for
me.”
Because
we
know
we
are
loved
by
our
Creator,
we
can
now
go
running
back
to
Him.
“The
Spirit
itself
beareth
witness
with
our
spirit
that
we
are
the
children
of
God”
