    Every Day is Monday
    Psalm 34:4-6

    Every Day is Saturday

    Sunday night blues

    Could not sleep.

    Monday Morning.
You have to work with what IS (not what you wish it was)

I “wish” I had gotten more sleep
I “wish” I had eaten better yesterday
I “wish” I had gotten more exercise.

    (Redirect your FOCUS)
    Things I can control:

    ·        My future decisions and choices

    ·        My Attitude

    ·        Where I will find my help and strength

I started a fresh journal on 5.16 (Monday morning)

In my prayertime, despite all the “natural” challenges, I found myself engulfed in God’s Peace and presence – and an assurance that a good day was head for me.

When Jesus was on trial before His crucifixion, Peter denied that he knew Jesus three times. Peter was so bitterly disappointed in himself, so ashamed of being a coward. Soon after that, they crucified Jesus. Peter never had the chance to tell Him he was sorry. He had to live with the guilt. But when three women found Jesus’ tomb was empty, an angel told them to go tell His disciples and Peter that He was alive.

The only disciple specifically pointed out was Peter.

God was showing all of us, “I don’t define you by your mistakes. I don’t cancel your destiny because you’ve failed.”

And remember, fifty days later, it was Peter who gave the inaugural message that birthed the Church.

You may have made mistakes and failed, as Peter did, but you have to learn to forgive yourself. Quit remembering what God has forgiven and forgotten. His mercy is bigger than any mistake you’ve made.

Maybe like me, you just had a bad night and, without God’s help, it could be a rough day ahead?

We could “wish” we had done better – and “wish” we had a rewind button, but here we are.

God is saying, “Get back in the game. You can still do what I called you to do.”

    “My heart is fixed”

Is your heart fixed (focused) to follow-though on what God has placed inside of you.

If we will focus in the “why” – God will help us with the “hows”

Even if we humans have an awkward moment or three and sometimes “wish” we could just start it all over again.

Maybe this time we’d get it all right?

1 Sam 16:7 - But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Man looks on the outside (temporal, carnal) but GOD looks at the heart.

This is so great, because at the time of this verse, the prophet Samuel was looking for the next King of Israel, and the father of the future King David was offering everyone except for David.

The Lord spoke to Samuel that these “outwardly” superior candidates were not qualified for the position He had planned for young David.

In the same way, God sees plans and potential in you that you may not have a clue about.

GOD knows you better than you know yourself.  (He created you)

? When you are teaching a child to walk, how many chances do you give them before you give up?

A toddler keeps stumbling – but neither they nor their parents have any intention on giving up.

You may have stumbled – but is your heart still fixed?

Isaiah 50:7 - Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will. And I know that I will not be put to shame.

? Are you still determined to fulfill the mission God has for you?

It has been said, "The Christian army is the only army that kills its wounded."

Instead of trying to help and provide spiritual first aid to a fallen brother or sister, many Christians attack them. They want to put them on the shelf.

This is not to make light of the seriousness of our daily walk – but Jesus said, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”

How do we view our fellow brother and sister in Christ when they stumble?

How would we want to be treated when we need help and encouragement to get back in the fight?

The Army Ranger’s creed is, "Never shall I fail my comrades ... I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy."

1 Thess 5:11: Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

    So – we’re an army – and we’re also a team

Romans 14:19 - So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.

NLT: So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.

Heb 10:24 - We must also consider how to encourage each other to show love and to do good things.

These verses speak to me that we all have to walk in love and show grace and mercy to one another.

    Our hearts are fixed.

We set our faces like stone – determined to do God’s will.

    This is our “why.”

This is our purpose – our mission.

We may have set-backs, but we have to start each new day as a new beginning.

We may not always like Mondays, but they do indicate a fresh start.

Every day is your new Monday to do more – to walk in greater victories- and overcome the past through Jesus’ blood.

    We’ll close with this:

Jude 24,25: Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.
    (only Jesus can do this)

All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.
