Complete in Christ
2 Tim 4:3 - For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
提 摩 太 後 書 4:3: 我这么说,是因为总有一天,人们会不愿听从这健全的教导,而去为他们自己搜罗适合自己爱好的教师,好来满足他们发痒的耳朵。(这些教师只说他们想听的话。)(page 1932)
Col 2:6-10 - So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.
(page 1910)
Eph 3:19 - May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
以 弗 所 書 3:19: 基督的爱比任何人所能知道的都要伟大。但是,我祈祷你们能够知道那种爱,这样,你们才能彻底被上帝的丰富所充满。(page 1897)
2 Peter 1:3 - His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
彼 得 後 書 1:3 因为我们认识了那位用自己的荣耀和美德召唤我们的耶稣,上帝通过他的神力把一切有关生命和侍奉上帝的事都赐给了我们。(pg 1972)

George
Barna
-
the
founder
of
The
Barna
Group,
a
market
research
firm
specializing
in
studying
the
religious
beliefs
and
behavior
of
Americans,
and
the
intersection
of
faith
and
culture.
A
new
report
from
George
Barna’s Cultural
Research
Center (CRC)
reveals
what
Barna
describes
as
the
most
radical
religious
and
cultural
shifts
of
American
beliefs
of
the
past
40
years.
Those
“upheavals,”
says Barna,
are
“causing
monumental
changes
within
our
nation’s
historically
stable
religious
alignments.”
“The
irony
of
the
reshaping
of
the
spiritual
landscape
in
America
is
that
it
represents
a
post-Christian
Reformation
driven
by
people
seeking
to
retain
a
Christian
identity,”
said
Dr.
George
Barna.
“Unfortunately,
the
theology
of
this
reformation
is
being
driven
by
American
culture
rather
than
biblical
truth.
The
worldviews
embraced
by
the
adherents
of
these
distinct
religious
communities
reflect
contemporary,
worldly
influence,
rather
than
biblical
influence.”
“The
most
startling
realization”
about
this
secular
reformation,
said
Barna,
“is
how
many
people
from
evangelical
churches
are
adopting
unbiblical
beliefs.”
2
Tim
4:3
-
For
the
time
will
come
when
people
will
not
put
up
with
sound
doctrine.
Instead,
to
suit
their
own
desires,
they
will
gather
around
them
a
great
number
of
teachers
to
say
what
their
itching
ears
want
to
hear.
when
people
feel
something
is
missing
–
they
go
searching.
where
we
search
will
determine
what
we
find
Col
2:6,7:
So
then,
just
as
you
received
Christ
Jesus
as
Lord, continue
to
live
your
lives
in
him, rooted and
built
up
in
him,
strengthened
in
the
faith
as
you
were
taught, and
overflowing
with
thankfulness.
When
your
life
feels
incomplete,
remember
you
are
complete
in
Him.
How’s
the
weather
been
for
you
lately?
Little
bit
crazy
and
unpredictable,
huh?
It
changes
almost
daily
-
and
the
weather
service
has
been
wrong
a
lot.
It’s
hard
to
plan
without
any
assurance
that
you
have
a
clear
idea
of
what
to
expect.
Life
is
like
that
-
isn’t
it?
If
you
had
to
give
a
current
weather
report
as
to
the
state
of
your
inner
self,
what
would
it
say?
Pleasant
and
mild?
Scattered
showers
(of
tears?)
God
has
a
way
to
take
care
of
you
through
the
storms
and
the
unpredictable
seasons
in
your
life.
I
believe
every
preacher
-
and,
so
too,
every
church,
has
a
unique
message
to
bring
to
the
world.
We
all
share
the
same
Jesus
and
the
same
gospel,
but
if
you
look
around,
there
are
many
facets
to
the
ministry
-
and
God
anoints
us
for
those
specific
purposes.
I
had
a
e-mail
devotional
that
really
stirred
my
heart
-
and
reminded
me
of
one
of
the
core
messages
of
my
life
-
that
we
are,
indeed,
“Complete
in
Him.”
For
in
Christ
lives
all
the
fullness
of
God
in a
human
body.
So
you
also
are
complete
through
your
union
with
Christ,
who
is
the
head
over
every
ruler
and
authority.
(NLV)
God's
whole
nature
is
living
in
Christ
in
human
form.
Because
you
belong
to
Christ,
you
have
everything
you
need.
He
is
the
ruler
over
every
power
and
authority.
(NIV)
The
great
composer
Tchaikovsky
once
said
that
he
spent
his
entire
life
“regretting
the
past
and
hoping
for
the
future,
never
being
satisfied
in
the
present.”
The
present
is
all
we
have.
We
must
learn
to
be
“Complete
in
Him”
NOW.
"To
break
out
into
a
new
world
it
is
first
necessary
to
break
out
of
your
present
identity."
Complete
in
Christ
The
results
of
living
from
this
awareness
include:
trust
–
gratitude
–
peace
of
mind
What
are
your
daily
expectations
for
your
life?
Honestly?
“Teach
me
to
do
Your
will…”
vs 8
Don’t
let
anyone
capture
you
with
empty
philosophies
and
high-sounding
nonsense
that
come
from
human
thinking
and
from
the
spiritual
powers
of
this
world,
rather
than
from
Christ.
when
people
feel
something
is
missing
–
they
go
searching.
where
we
search
will
determine
what
we
find
*(makes
sense?)
fear
and
doubt
create
a
lot
of
that
“something’s
missing”
mentality
when
we
are
in
this
state
of
incompletion,
we
react
to
life,
rather
than
respond.
we
try
to
fix
the
incompletion
with
food,
mood-altering
substances,
distractions,
outside
approval,
revenge,
even
false
teachings
of
the
world
that
we
may
think
will
fill
the
void
(itching
ears
-
human
thinking
and
from
the
spiritual
powers
of
this
world,
rather
than
from
Christ.)
Walls
of
Doubt
You
hear
that
voice
in
your
heart
You
get
that
longing
It
goes
far
beyond
all
the
words
The
great
arguments
It's
O.K.
-
Long
for
your
lover
You'll
find
He's
standing
out
Beyond
the
walls
of
doubt
All
through
the
hours
of
the
day
There's
something
strange
growing
The
seed
of
laughter
and
light
Way
down
inside
you
It's
alright
You
can
let
go
now
Love
is
the
master's
plow
Crash
down
the
walls
of
doubt
Love,
love
puts
to
rest
Some
of
the
questions
Love,
find
it
and
see
The
doubts
will
go
fading
away
Eph
3:19
-
May
you
experience
the
love
of
Christ,
though
it
is
too
great
to
understand
fully.
Then
you
will
be
made
complete
with
all
the
fullness
of
life
and
power
that
comes
from
God.
This
is
what
you
are
seeking
–
and
it
cannot
be
found
anywhere
else
Wholeness
replaces
emptiness
You
are
hearing
the
answer
to
your
secret
longing
today
We
all
remember
how
faith
works
–
We
hear
the
Good
News
–
and
then
we
accept
it
and
believe
it
is
true
in
our
hearts
To
be
complete
is
the
opposite
of
incomplete
The
“something’s
missing”
is
transformed
into
the
state
of
thankful
fulfillment
Life
becomes
abundant
– we
experience
fullness
“And
it
is
in
union
with
him
that
you
have
been
made
full”
“And
because
you
belong
to
Christ
you
are
complete,
having
everything
you
need. “
2
Peter
1:3
-
His
divine
power
has
given
us
everything
required
for
life
and
godliness
through
the
knowledge
of
him
who
called
us
by
his
own
glory
and
goodness.
There
is
so
much
mire
to
be
said
about
this
topic
– so
much
more
to
explore
and
learn
…but
this
is
the
foundation
–
this
is a
great
start
“Seek
and
ye
shall
find”
If
we
hear
and
believe
this
Good
News
this
morning,
it
will
begin
to
better
shape
all
of
our
tomorrows,
and
fill
our
hearts
with
joy
and
peace
when
people
feel
something
is
missing
–
they
go
searching.
where
we
search
will
determine
what
we
find
The
external
things
we
reach
for
the
fill
the
void
will
never
fill
it
Romans
14:17
-
God’s
kingdom
isn’t
a
matter
of
what
you
put
in
your
stomach,
for
goodness’
sake.
It’s
what
God
does
with
your
life
as
he
sets
it
right,
puts
it
together,
and
completes
it
with
joy.
And
because
you
belong
to
Christ
you
are
complete,
having
everything
you
need.
