Hold On
Heb 10:19-23 - And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him.
For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
(page 1951)
Heb 10:35,36 - “So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.”
希 伯 來 書 10:35,36: 不要抛弃你们的勇气,因为它将带给你们巨大的报偿。 你们要容忍,这样在你们执行了上帝的意愿后,就会得到上帝所许诺的一切。(page 1952)
1 Peter 5:10 – “In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.”
彼 得 前 書 5:10: 但是,你们的患难只是暂时的,在这之后,
仁慈的源泉,那呼唤你们在基督里共享永恒荣耀的上帝会亲自恢复、建立、加强你们,避免你们沉沦。(pg 1971)

It’s
Not
Time
to
Back
Down
Hebrews
10:19-25
“Always
do
the
right
thing.”
It
sounds
so
simple…
and
yet,
it
is
a
good
concept.
Sometimes
we
adjust
sails
to
fit
the
storm,
rather
than
just
put
down
the
anchor
and
hold
on.
Psalm
42:11
-
Why
am I
discouraged?
Why
is
my
heart
so
sad?
I
will
put
my
hope
in
God!
I
will
praise
him
again--my
Savior
and
my
God!
There
are
times
when
our
hearts
may
feel
so
depleted
that
we
think
it
is
the
end.
We
are
sad.
Sad
doesn’t
begin
to
describe
it.
Broken-hearted.
Discouraged.
Disillusioned?
Out
of
the
mess
can
come
the
message.
Out
of
the
test
can
come
the
testimony.
vs
23:
Let
us
hold
on
to
the
hope
we
say
we
have
and
not
be
changed.
We
can
trust
God
that
He
will
do
what
He
promised.
We
need
a
sure
hope
that
will
keep
us
anchored
and
steady
at
all
times
Jesus
said:
“The
rain
came
down,
the
streams
rose,
and
the
winds
blew
and
beat
against
that
house;
yet
it
did
not
fall,
because
it
had
its
foundation
on
the
rock.”
The
rain…
the
streams…
the
wind
These
words
describe
the
storm
we
sometimes
go
through.
"Praise
You
In
This
Storm"
And
I'll
praise
You
in
this
storm
-
And
I
will
lift
my
hands
For
You
are
who
You
are,
No
matter
where
I am
And
every
tear
I've
cried
You
hold
in
Your
hand
-
You
never
left
my
side
And
though
my
heart
is
torn
I
will
praise
You
in
this
storm
I
remember
when
I
stumbled
in
the
wind
-
You
heard
my
cry
to
you
and
you
raised
me
up
again
My
strength
is
almost
gone
-
How
can
I
carry
on -
If I
can't
find
You?
I
lift
my
eyes
unto
the
hills
-
Where
does
my
help
come
from?
My
help
comes
from
the
Lord
-
The
Maker
of
Heaven
and
Earth
Heb
10:35,36
-
“So
do
not
throw
away
this
confident
trust
in
the
Lord.
Remember
the
great
reward
it
brings
you!
Patient
endurance
is
what
you
need
now,
so
that
you
will
continue
to
do
God's
will.
Then
you
will
receive
all
that
he
has
promised.”
“Don’t
let
what
you
don’t
know
shake
you
from
what
you
do
know.”
“Now
is
not
the
time
for
backing
down.
Now
is
the
time
for
taking
new
ground.”
Escape
Velocity:
In physics, escape
velocity is
the speed at
which
the
sum
of
an
object's kinetic
energy and
its gravitational
potential
energy is
equal
to
zero.
It
is
the
speed
needed
to
"break
free"
from
the
gravitational
attraction
of a
massive
body,
without
further
propulsion,
i.e.,
without
spending
more propellant.
Understand
–
there
are
always
two
forces
at
work
here
on
this
earth.
Even
in
your
thinking
–
the
old
carnal
mind
challenges
your
faith,
and
if
your
foundation
isn’t
strong,
you
will
start
to
give
way
–
and
doubt.
1
Peter
5:10
–
“In
his
kindness
God
called
you
to
share
in
his
eternal
glory
by
means
of
Christ
Jesus.
So
after
you
have
suffered
a
little
while,
he
will
restore,
support,
and
strengthen
you,
and
he
will
place
you
on a
firm
foundation.”
The
suffering
here
is
referring
to
the
trials
of
life-
and
the
attacks
of
the
enemy.
Persecution
for
Christ’s
sake.
The
testing
of
your
faith
where
you
just
have
to
trust
God
and
His
Word.
2
Cor
12:10:
That’s
why
I
take
pleasure
in
my
weaknesses,
and
in
the
insults,
hardships,
persecutions,
and
troubles
that
I
suffer
for
Christ.
For
when
I am
weak,
then
I am
strong.
2
Cor
4:17
-
For
our
light
and
momentary
troubles
are
achieving
for
us
an
eternal
glory
that
far
outweighs
them
all.
“Let
us
hold
firmly
to
the
hope
that
we
have
confessed,
because
we
can
trust
God
to
do
what
he
promised.
Let
us
think
about
each
other
and
help
each
other
to
show
love
and
do
good
deeds. You
should
not
stay
away
from
the
church
meetings,
as
some
are
doing,
but
you
should
meet
together
and
encourage
each
other.
Do
this
even
more
as
you
see
the
day
coming.”
Signs
of
the
times
are
everywhere.
The
days
are
coming
to a
close.
It’s
time
to
stand
on
this
firm
foundation
and
get
equipped
–
get
prepared
–
and
most
of
all,
get
right
with
God.
Heb
10:35,36
-
“So
do
not
throw
away
this
confident
trust
in
the
Lord.
Remember
the
great
reward
it
brings
you!
Patient
endurance
is
what
you
need
now,
so
that
you
will
continue
to
do
God's
will.
Then
you
will
receive
all
that
he
has
promised.”
We
have
to
keep
doing
the
basics.
The
fundamentals
never
change.
“Always
do
the
right
thing.”
Hold
to
what
you
know
is
right
and
true.
Stay
true
to
the
gospel
message
that
you
have
heard
and
believed.
1
Thess
5:
“…
Hold
on
to
what
is
good.
Stay
away
from
every
kind
of
evil.”
You
want
to
do
the
will
of
God?
1
Thessalonians
5:16-18:
“Rejoice
always,
pray
continually,
give
thanks
in
all
circumstances;
for
this
is
God's
will
for
you
in
Christ
Jesus.”
Eph
6:10
-
Be
strong
in
the
Lord
and
in
the
Power
of
His
Might
Dis-couragement
is
the
devil’s
tool
to
strip
you
of
your
faith
and
get
you
out
of
power.
…to
drag
you
down
to
the
unbeliever’s
level.
“anything
that
is
not
of
FAITH
is
sin”
“So
encourage
each
other
and
build
each
other
up,
just
as
you
are
already
doing.”
Psalm
62:5-7:
“I
find
rest
in
God;
only
he
gives
me
hope.
He
is
my
rock
and
my
salvation.
He
is
my
defender;
I
will
not
be
defeated.
My
honor
and
salvation
come
from
God.
He
is
my
mighty
rock
and
my
protection.”
Gal
6:2
–
“Carry
each
other's
burdens,
and
in
this
way
you
will
fulfill
the
law
of
Christ.”
We
hold
on
to
God’s
Word
–
even
in
the
storms
–
and
we
encourage
each
other
to
do
the
same
thing.
“Jesus
paid
it
all.”
(
)
“Complete
in
Him.”
(
)
God’s
Word
tells
us
Jesus
took
our
sin
–
our
iniquity
–
upon
Himself.
He
paid
the
price
for
us.
Do
we
believe
it?
He
won
the
victory
over
sin
and
death
–
-
and
yet,
all
you
have
to
do
is
look
around
and
you
still
see
sin
and
death.
Sin
still
abounds.
Turn
on
the
TV.
Go
shopping.
It’s
time
to
take
back
what
the
enemy
has
tried
to
steal
from
us.
From
God’s
Kingdom.
“Thy
Kingdom
come…”
God’s
Word
tell
us
that
Jesus
took
our
infirmities
upon
Himself.
“…and
with
His
stripes
we
were
healed.”
Do
we
believe
it?
…and
yet,
we
struggle
because
of
the
outward
signs
to
the
contrary.
…but
in
our
hearts,
we
know
that
it
isn’t
God’s
plan.
If
God’s
Word
says
Jesus
Christ
paid
the
price
for
our
healing
in
His
own
body
–
and
we
deny
that
fact
–
we’re
denying
God’s
Word.
Calling
God
a
liar.
(heaven
forbid)
Go
to
any
hospital,
and
you’ll
easily
recognize
that
this
isn’t
“God’s
Will.”
How
could
it
be?
Jesus
took
all
of
this
upon
Himself.
We
have
to
take
back
what
the
enemy
has
tried
to
steal
from
us.
“The
Kingdom
of
God
suffereth
violence…”
How
do
we
respond?
It’s
not
time
to
back
down.
Appeasement
in a
political
context
is a
diplomatic
policy
of
making
political
or
material
concessions
to
an
enemy
power
in
order
to
avoid
conflict.
The
term
is
most
often
applied
to
the
foreign
policy
of
the
British
Prime
Minister
Neville
Chamberlain
towards
Nazi
Germany
between
1937
and
1939.
His
policies
of
avoiding
war
with
Germany
have
been
the
subject
of
intense
debate
for
seventy
years
among
academics,
politicians
and
diplomats.
At
the
time,
these
concessions
were
widely
seen
as
positive,
and
the
Munich
Pact
concluded
on
30
September
1938
among
Germany,
Britain,
France,
and
Italy
prompted
Chamberlain
to
announce
that
he
had
secured
"peace
for
our
time.”
We
all
know
how
well
that
worked
out
for
England.
In
our
moments
of
disappointment
and
discouragement,
we
may
want
to
just
shrivel
up –
just
shrug
our
shoulders
and
lay
down
our
swords.
Jesus
said:
“I
Am
the
living
one.
I
died,
but
look--I
am
alive
forever
and
ever!
And
I
hold
the
keys
of
death
and
the
grave.”
Let
the
Redeemed
of
the
Lord
say
so!
(stand
up)
“I’ve
been
redeemed
from
sin
–
from
fear
–
from
doubt
–
from
sickness
–
from
poverty
–
from
lack
–
from
depression
–
from
any
calamity.”
·
Shake
it
off.
Get
back
up.
Square
your
shoulders
back.
*
Having
done
all
to
stand
–
STAND,
therefore!
Now
is
not
the
time
for
backing
down…
The
Greater
One
lives
in
YOU.
The
Greater
One
lives
in
ME.
vs

Let
us
hold

to
the

We
can
trust

what
He

“This
is
the

Him
and
declare
to
you:
God
is
light;
in
him
there
is
no
darkness
at
all.”

Tim
6:12
-
Fight
the
good
fight
of
the
faith.
Take
hold
of
the
eternal
life
to
which
you
were
called
when
you
made
your
good
confession
in
the
presence
of
many
witnesses.
It’s
time
for
a
revival
in
the
House
of
God
like
never
before.
It’s
time
for
the
real
revival
that
can
no
longer
be
contained
within
the
church
walls.
It’s
time
for
healing
and
salvation
and
deliverance
to
flow
out
into
the
streets.
Our
greatest
days
as a
church
are
right
in
front
of
us.
“The
latter
house
shall
be
greater
than
the
former.”
It
begins
with
you
and
it
begins
with
me
–
and
it
starts
with
our
broken
hearts
being
poured
out
to
God
for
healing
and
direction
and
strength
from
above.
Romans
15:16
–
“I
pray
that
God,
the
source
of
hope,
will
fill
you
completely
with
joy
and
peace
because
you
trust
in
him.
Then
you
will
overflow
with
confident
hope
through
the
power
of
the
Holy
Spirit.”
