    PRESENCE 存在

Hebrews 5-7: By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
(page 1952)

    你们得救在于悔改和安息,你们得力在于平静和信靠。”(page 1160)

    Changed in His Presence

    Changed in His Presence
    Hebrews 11:5-7

    “Surely the Presence”
Let’s not just talk about GOD today
Let’s not just think about or read about GOD today
Let us be Touched by GOD today.
? Have you noticed how everyone is so focused on their phones?
? How many things can we focus on at one time?
Jesus said (John 10:27-28) “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”

If you want to walk with God, you need to be close to Him.
If you want to hear His voice, you’ll have to listen
We want to be led by God especially during this precarious, unpredictable season
? How can God expand our vision if we are not being still long enough for Him to impart this to us?
    My new morning ritual…
Isaiah 30:15: This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.
Hebrews 11:5-7 (Passion Version) Faith lifted Enoch from this life and he was taken up into heaven! He never had to experience death; he just disappeared from this world because God promoted him. For before he was translated to the heavenly realm his life had become a pleasure to God.
And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him.
Faith opened Noah’s heart to receive revelation and warnings from God about what was coming, even things that had never been seen. But he stepped out in reverent obedience to God and built an ark that would save him and his family.
By his faith the world was condemned, but Noah received God’s gift of righteousness that comes by believing.
    Let’s look at these two people’s stories…
Gen 5:24 - “Enoch walked with God; then he was gone because God took him.”
Now, what does it mean to walk with God?
First, it indicates reconciliation, because sinners are by nature alienated from God.
Amos 3:3 says, “How could two walk together unless they be agreed?”
Paul affirms in 2 Corinthians 6:14, “Who could mingle light with darkness?”
So the first thing you can conclude is that if this man is walking with God, there is a reconciliation that has taken place. He’s no longer, to borrow the words of Paul in Ephesians 4, alienated from the life of God. He’s now reconciled to God.
I would say a second thing is implied in this union, this communion, this fellowship. To walk with God implies corresponding nature…corresponding nature.
Romans 4:3 - “Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness,” and that would also be true of Enoch.
Because of his faith, God imputed righteousness to Enoch and therefore he was acceptable to God. He had a corresponding nature. God is righteous and in order for a man to walk with God, he must be then determined to be righteous.
He must be given a righteousness not his own, it must be credited to him, applied to him, imputed to him, and that makes that walking together possible.
And I think also we could add that there is a corresponding surrendered will. To walk with God implies that we desire His company, we desire His holy company.
“And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him.”

We desire the demands of that holy company and we surrender to that.
We give ourselves up to that.
We want that communion, we want that intimacy with God, we want that closeness, we want that presence. We want that spiritual fellowship.
That was Enoch. And this went on for three hundred years.
Think of it. Think of how much influence that man had to the people around him.
You know, as we walk with the Lord, ten years, twenty years, thirty, forty, our influence increases for good and for God, as people look at our lives and see the evidences of the work of God in our life.
Just imagine a man who had walked in intimate communion with the living God for three hundred years.
In every sense, that would be a life to follow, wouldn’t it?
Steady progress, unbroken fellowship, sweet communion, and the spiritual progress of that communion evident as he goes from one level of spiritual maturity to another.
Enoch had a great grandson named Noah.
Not too many years after God took Enoch away, that man named Noah was hearing from God because he took time to listen and obey.
In Noah, God found a man who would walk in obedience and faith.
According to Gen 6:9 “This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.”
Gen 6:22 - So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him.
Noah’s close walk with God resulted in him and his entire family being saved from the destruction of the Flood. It also resulted in the preservation of the human race.
There is a peace – and there is also a protection in the presence of GOD.
To understand our lives, we need to stay close to our Creator.
To follow God will require us to look forward – not backward.
Our fears would hold us back from doing anything great for God.
The fear tells us we are inadequate.
When did “we” become only “me” or “thee?”
When we are doing GOD’s work HE is working in and through us.
    “The Lord is promoting you.
You are going from needing help to being the help.
Once upon a time, you needed a “pick me up.”
Now GOD will use you to lift up others.”
    Do you believe it?
When you step out of the whirlwind you can hear from GOD. (like Elijah)
    Your Elevation requires Isolation.
    “Be Still and Know.”
Sometimes it may feel like everything is falling apart, when in reality everything is actually coming together – but in a new and better way.
    “Be Still and Know.”
You’re being pushed to grow. The old nest – your old comfort zone - won’t fit your new life. Welcome this discomfort as a sign of growth and change.
? Are you willing to become a beginner again so you can see things from a fresh perspective?
If you want to walk with God, you need to be close to Him.
If you want to hear His voice, you’ll have to listen
Heb 10:38,39: “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.”
